How the hell did your team blow a two-goal lead and lose in overtime?
Franking embarrassing. |

Thanks Carol! Point gained...I was all but counting this a loss with us being shorthanded to finish the game.
This is not to absolve JB from his atrocious UFA signings, but imagine if we did sign Toff, Stetch and Marky.
Toff would have bumped Boes to L2, which would have bumped Hogs to L3 or Utica. Boes would NOT score 11 goals on Horvat's line. And who knows about Hogs.
Similarly, Stetch would have made OJ a regular taxi squad member cuz Schmidt would be playing on the LS.
Marky just masks the bad habits we need to solve. Look at Calgary...all they do is rely on him. That was us the last two years. If we come out of this a better defensive team without the "crutch", maybe that's a good thing.
Maybe I'm wrong, but if we're not making the playoffs, I would rather us take from this super odd year and evolve this team. |

Lefty is right for once, Tanev is better than Schmidt, but that length of contract and dollar term for Tanev...oh wait. |

Tanev is only a year older than Schmidt and he's got the same amount of points, three, in four less games. He's also +4 and Schmidt is even |

Patience young padawan. Even Steve Smith had to deal with death threats. |

I don't need convincincing, I have always liked Tanev but didn't mind moving on if they improved the defense. That can be hard to do, when trying to replace one of the best defensive defensemen in the league.
Spilt milk now. |

100% correct. Soon the Honeymoon will be over in Calgary on the Marky/Tanev front. Sure they will help Calgary when healthy and all two very good players but if the Flames start relying too heavily on goaltending like Van did...look out lol |

Surprised redmile hasn't shown with his cup-run jersey lol
Still think the d pairings are off.
Hughes - Schmidt
Edler - Myers
OJ - Benn.
Schmidt was brought in as Tanev's replacement and should be used as such IMO. He was supposed to give us a top paring with Hughes and Green hasn't even tried that.
Edler Myers are 3-4 at best. Schmidt just needs to be told 'you are gonna cover Hughes ass out there and like it' lol and his minutes would go up too which would be good. |

Thanks Carol. Regardless of how the season progresses it’s a win in my books for the following reasons:
1) we were never contenders. In a lot of respects this season is a complete joke. We have all our picks in a draft that is heavy on D
2) demko looks like he may turn into a decent starting goalie
3) Brock is back
4) Hog looks like he will be a legit first line winger. This is shocking and is a huge win for the team.
Pouty, Miller and now Horvat are struggling and as a result we are likely out of the race. It sucks but I’m not worried about these players in the long run.
Shed bad contracts and aim to be competitive in the 2022/2023 season. |

It would be nice to have the NAte Schmidt that played in Vegas the last 3 seasons. Other than Virtanen, Nate has been the next biggest disappointment thus far. |

I lost my last bit of patience last night. He needs to get his sh it together. That pass was pure stupidity and it cost us points when we need them the most. |

You're an idiot, you don't need patience with a 29 year old NHL veteran with 400+ games under his belt. Be good for your 5+ million or fcuk off |
