Someone on HF mentioned Eriksson + Gaudette + JV for Rasmussen(maybe a small add here?). I think I would do it depending on how well his back injury healed. Apparently he is strong defensively and getting PK time in the AHL. Could turn out to be a good 3c down the line. - Retinalz
That’s a terrible trade for DET |

Detroit isn't taking Loui without at least a 1st round pick+ |

If it's CGY it's JV for Bennett.
If it's EDM it's JV for Kassian or Chiasson
Beagle - Holtby - Chiasson...building with cup champs!!

From Darren Dreger
“Keep in mind though that Jake Virtanen has another year left on his deal at $2.55 million and why that is important is because of that flat salary cap of $81.5 million, but it’s also important to the Vancouver Canucks for a cap perspective and a cash standpoint. There has to be the right financial fit for the Vancouver Canucks to make this deal happen. Now Vancouver also wants a young forward in return, so we’ll keep this one on the watch list.”
Jake is the cap dump, so another teams reclamation project is what I expect as a return, with maybe a few other pieces involved. |

Yes. Jake, Gaudette Loui and a first for Rasmussen. Is more realistic |

Connor McDavid is one point away from 500, WTF, he's just turned 24 last month. He'll have 1000 points by age 28 if he keeps scoring at this rate. |

he started at 18, wouldn't 30 be more accurate? |

They reported that if he gets the one point tonight he'll have 500 in the exact number of games Crosby did and he was 29 when he did it (1000). But he missed a lot of the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons. |

So if he doesn't, does that mean he isn't as good as Crosby? |

He needs to win Championships before he's considered as good as Crosby. I know it's a team game, but Championships matter.
Marcel Dionne was probably top five offensive players to ever play the game, but no one ever talks about him because he won jack-poop. |

His skating has improved quite a bit - his stride still looks awkward but he gets around quickly (IMO Petey and Hogs got weird strides too)
Gadj is pretty effective, plays smart, super hard on the boards and great hands in front of the net - tips and redirects a lot of shots there. Loves fighting and also plays some PP minutes. A lot of people have written him off but I think he got a chance if he keeps developing the way MacEwen did. Hope to see him get some games next year. |

True story. As good as McD and Drai are they needs to start winning. Once the Oil get a goalie...look the (frank) out... |
