Agree with all that. It just seems you have a hard on for Andy, to what, make yourself feel better about the trade in the first place? Maybe Iโm just projecting, maybe not. It is what it is now, letโs dump on Virtanen. That could be the thing that unites all the factions. - 1970vintage
I have a flaccid on for Andy.
Honestly, I hate him but it has nothing to do with the trade. I think he's massively overrated and he has a punchable face - kinda like Marchand. He actually reminds of this kid I grew up playing with that I couldn't stand bcus he took so many dumb penalties, then would argue with the ref (as if that would change anything) cost us countless games. But I couldn't do anything cus he was my teammate. But when high school hockey ended and the next year I was home from UNI at Xmas and I ran into him outside a bar and he mouthed off to me (for no real reason) so I upper cut him and knocked him out - one of the most immature yet satisfying moments of my life. So yeah you're half right.
Ya, more than likely. I wasn't concerned about his potential then either though, just concerned that injuries were going to kill his career. - Reubenkincade
Yes I meant the last few years (thank for clarifying Vantel)
At first it was his size and the healthy scratch after the World Juniors back in Finland. Then the back injury. Then the knee. Then the Zoolander "he can't turn left" sh%t, the comparisons to Sergachev, the "we should've picked Tkachuk"
It was good to see him the last few games against MT and realize he's a solid player and hopefully will only get better and be a part of this team for years.
It was always awesome to hear him address the media today and kinda laugh off the "can't pivot left" questions and state the obvious - "I wasn't fully healed from an insane injury, everyone calm down"

That is awesome.๐
Although it is a bit immature, yes, but, fuck it๐
Watching a game like that, I still expect sht to go sideways and we some how lose
I'm not expecting playoffs, but it still could be interesting down the stretch if we can get some wins. - hillbillydeluxe
I went to bed after the second (east coast it's pretty hard to watch full games and get more than 7 hours of sleep).. I fully expected a third period collapse. Happy to see them chase Markstrom instead
IF โ and it's a large if that I don't think will pan out โ the Canucks somehow get themselves to the playoff bubble by years end, they'll be one of the hottest teams in the league base on shear number of wins they'll have to string together. The one thing going for them is they're going to be playing all the teams they need to leapfrog, so those 4 point games are bigger than other seasons
