Did I just witness a power play goal scored by Pavel Zacha...? - Pomegrant
I honestly thought we'd go the rest of the season without scoring on the PP. |

Yeah, really need stability on the back end. This game has been pretty brutal for all of the turnovers. |

Yeah I don't want to overreact because of the circumstances and everything, but some frustrating performances from some players. |

Gotta give credit to PK, he's been one of our better players tonight. |

PK is still a minutes eater. I feel like this year they've worked on simplifying his game around his mobility (or lack there of) and it's been working. He'll still get a lot of poop because of the contract number but he can be an effective player. |

Nice to see Blackwood not miss a beat. I thought Butcher looked decent, Carrick and Tennyson should never, ever be on the ice at the same time again. |

Nice job Devils! Always love beating our cross town rivals. Good tenacity after the long layoff. Well done.
Rangers? Feels like a coaching change may be imminent. One word: Rudderless! |

Vatanen and Kulikov will help that cause. |

Can't happen soon enough. Tougher decision is going to be what forwards take a seat when Hischier and Zajac are back. |

And Goose. This is the best depth we'ved had in years but goddamn will it be nice to get Nico back. |

Wonder if hiring Hynes is going to be the nail in Poiles coffin. |

So deep I forgot about Gusev. With Vatanen and Murray in we actually won’t be starting half an AHL defense for the first time in recent memory. |

Yes
I think Merkley is one of them. Just because of all the similar depth we have.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him packaged.
Between Kuokkanen, Bastian and McLeod... I think Bastian is the other.
Knowing that an injury or illness, which I believe will continue being the norm, these guys can step right in. |

It's unbelievable that he doesn't have a job considering some of the head coaches still coaching in this league. |

Defense is still a problem as they are being bailed out by goaltending a lot. But we're getting what we thought we would with Ruff which is fast attacking style of play. I'm not surprised we look this way, but you can't put Blackwood under this much pressure on a nightly basis and expect good results long term. |

Pretty impressive win for the meatheads considering the circumstances. I think i was most impressed by us not going to the box once last night (other than the McLeod scrap), especially in the third when we looked really gassed at times.
And speaking of McLeod i just love the way he plays, dude is always hustling.
Big Mac was huge again but i agree i don't think he'll be able to handle that barrage of shots on a nightly basis especially against teams that can actually score. Also i kinda liked Albert calling the game, aside from his lifeless calls on the goals. |
