Maybe Kalynuk in for Carlsson? Then Kalynuk back to Rockford. Maybe. Could have kept Seeler just to fill a taxi squad spot and let Kalynuk develop in AHL - jhawk59
They tried to keep Seeler and send him to Rockford. He did not report and they tossed him. They want to get Kalynuk in an NHL game or two to see how he fits, but he will spend most of his time in the AHL. They signed Bowey as a replacement for Seeler. I actually liked what I say out of Bowey for what he is. |

True, but generally speaking taking out the worst performances makes for flawed analysis. But the first four games this year came without a training camp, a bunch of new players on the team, and the very recent subtraction of the 1C & 2C. They've been pretty good defensively, at least in goals against, since then even with a stinker or two. - mohel
But taking out “outliers” that skew the simple averages (if that’s the metric you’re using) does give a better understanding of what the Blackhawks have actually been allowing per game - including that one game shows they’re giving up 2.38 per game - excluding it shows a GAPG of 2.08 - a more representative value.
Over the course of a season, the “outliers” will average out - over a smaller sample of games, an unusually large or small point will move the simple average too high o too low. |

So this new Russian phenom is intetested in signing with the Hawks or Wings. He can only sign an ELC. I guess the only negotiating points are the amounts of type A and type B bonuses. If both teams max out on those, it’s going to come down to which franchise he is most comfortable with. Wings have the history of Russian players and Yzerman who played with them. Hawks have had more success this past decade and the fact that Panarin excelled with Kane. Both teams rebuilding but the Hawks are further ahead in that. Who will he choose? - boilermaker100
All it will take is Kane to give him the #88 and he will be a Hawk. Done Deal! |

The reports say that he had received offers from Chicago and Detroit, but not that no other team is interested. I think if he has shown that he can play, other teams will make him an offer. |

Since all monetary offers will be essentially the same, it comes down to his comfort level with the organization. Maybe tax implications figure into the discussion, too.

Is it me or does the camera angles in games fromDetroit make you think you are watching the game from the second balcony'? |

With Carpenter and Wallmark back you'd figure we'd be deep enough to roll 4 lines...which is something that should be a goal(for all teams).
Having no Murphy makes it even more puzzling that we're still going with 7D and 11F
Why not reunite Highmore with Kampf and Carpenter(now that he's back)? They were a very solid 4th line when together last season, including the "post season".
Keep the top 3 lines the same. Not like its asking more a major change, but it would be better to roll 4 lines and balance the ice time for everyone? If not Highmore then Wallmark? |

Despite the results... still a developmental year. |

Beaudin & Boq are making some nice plays early on. Good thing for Boq after being out for awhile. |

Sup Breddy. How nice would it have been for Boqvist to roof that backhander? |

It's all about developing the young defenseman and if that helps this process, I'm all for it |

Is it just me, or is Keith really reluctant with the puck through the neutral zone? |

He needs some U2 "Elevation." He's taking hits to make plays as well.
Kane with more turnovers. Gotta fix that with some goals. |

Whether it is Highmore or Reese Johnson, neither gets more than 8 minutes a game, it’s like playing with 11 forwards anyway. |

ADB playing like a monster tonight. Kurashev protecting the puck well, and Strome with a more concerted effort. Hey look, fun hockey. |

Only one period but Strome has made about 3 nice defensive plays so far. |

DET has been rebuilding for a decade and they're still god awful. Zero progress made. Wtf is going on over there?
Now watch them go and get the first goal |

I see why JC gets frustrated, constantly looking for the home run pass |
