I think he's been solid in his own end since the beginning of the season. It's his backcheck when he doesn't drive his legs.

Weird thing i notice is, and he's not the only one, the forward on the back check catch up and once they get behind the forward they slow down instead of skating even with them? Almost all of them do this.

Kurashev is right up there with Suter and Janmark in terms of possessing top 6 caliber skill sets. This trio has literally saved our season at the forward position. Hagel too. You can say those 4,with a pinch of Soderberg here or there, have changed the complexion of our entire forward lineup for the foreseeable future. For the better. Emphatically. Janmark might not stay like the others, but we'll see.
