Actually I think he's tried some different things in the previous two seasons. He even tried to wear all black and orange pads to go with the current Flyers alternate unis, but I believe he only did it maybe once or twice because he admitted it was harder to see the puck.

But don't all goalies routinely change out their padding, blocker, and gloves as the wear out even if it's the same design? I thought I heard that the go through maybe 2, sometimes 3 sets in a typical season. And they have to be broken-in, like a lot of other gear.

2 or 3 sets per season? I find 3 is a bit much, but if it doesn't take a lot time to "break-in" the new gear then I guess it makes sense. I wouldn't know, my current glove has duck tape on it lolololl

yeah I guess it's very useful if you can avoid unnecessary injuries during practice

well he admitted recently he only wrote it to pay for a new cottage kitchen

i actually can't deny they're pretty awful. always drunk and rowdy and most of them reek like cigs. eagle fans are even worse.
