In an effort to be positive, that was a beauty snipe by Tim Stutzle.
That is all. |

In other happy-happy joy-joy news, it's good to see some rightful praise falling on Zub for his consistently solid play.

I have been pleased with Zub. Doubtful that they would take him out of the lineup, which is a good thing in this case.
Paul and Zub are probably two of the most pleasant surprises this season so far. To me, Zub's emergence was more important and needed, but very happy to see Paul have solidify himself as an NHLer. |

I am entirely content with the season. Happy with the Sens position for the 2021 draft. Happy with the way Smith is increasing the responsibility of the kids every game. I love when he put Stutzle, Norris and Chabot out to start the overtime.
One day we will wake up and the Sens will be winning more than they are losing. But don't wish to rush that away. Enjoy watching the growth. |

Tierney, Nick Paul, Dadanov, Zaitsev or even Austin Watson are all good pick-ups for an expansion team. I don't think it will cause a lot of pain in terms of the overall development of the Sens roster. - spatso
Tierny seems like the quintessential expansion team pick up. |

i would be shocked if he wasn't the player taken.............the other player that makes sense in Zaitsev (if he continues to play well, that contract isn't nearly as bad...he's playing like a 4.5mil player this season) |

The 2021 will be really interesting. It's going to be a real crap shoot for a lot of players.
I still like Kent Johnson |

I hope the potential plan that was suggested last week, of holding off on the draft this year, and doing 2 drafts after next season (obviously based on the results from this year), actually happens. Makes the draft much less of a crap shoot, as you are t drafting guys who mostly haven’t played in over a year. |

Maybe, though it obviously depends a lot on who they choose to protect.

It seems pretty clear that they'll choose a F-D-G approach of 7-3-1, which should mean Tkachuk-Batherson-White-L. Brown are locks. You might then expect to see them go with something like Dadonov-Paul-C. Brown, which would expose the likes of Tierney-Watson (NHL), and Abramov-Chlapik (AHL). Tierney does stand out, but if Seattle doesn't get much of a pick of younger players from other teams, I could see Abramov being a target.
Given the list of D-men, I can't see them protecting anyone other than Chabot, Zaitsev, and Wolanin, which only leaves J. Brown exposed. In fact, I could see them going after a top-4 D-man from a team that can't protect them, and maybe leaving Wolanin exposed. Then, at G the knee-jerk pick would be Murray... though his contract is a natural deterrent, and leaving a young option like Gustavsson exposed could also be a risk. It would certainly be a statement if they left Murray exposed, but the Vegas model suggests youth and cost-effective players are primary targets. |

Since they have the rights to Zub and will likely re-sign him, I would hope that the team protects him over Zaitsev or Wolanin. |
