I find this funny coming from a guy who has claimed that Galchenyuk is good, Clayton Keller long term signing was a great contract and Chayka is going to be a good GM. Etc etc. š - Reubenkincade

I wonder about the fans in here who donāt actually watch the games with an objective attitude, but just pick one mistake to justify their hatred of a player, Myers is better than Schmidt at the moment. - Makita
I donāt hate Myers lol, Iāve met him briefly before when he was a Jet. Heās a chill dude. I just donāt think heās a top 4 dman on a good team. I think Schmidt is, especially in a system where heās not coached to collapse to the net and just let the opponent gain the blueline like a walk in the park. Vegas is about luck pressure all over the ice. Green only wants puck pressure on the forecheck but in the d-zone itās clear that the team is coached to usually collapse and then look for a home run stretch pass when they recover the puck.
The entire system relies on being opportunistic off of opponentās mistakes and great goaltending.
I think Myers could benefit from a more aggressive defensive strategy too, but not as much as Schmidt since Schmidt has more quickness and faster with decisions. I do think the current system favours guys like Edler and OJ who donāt have the skating to stand up at the blueline against faster forwards. |

In all fairness, I somewhat defended the Gudbranson trade. The team badly needed a defenseman and some toughness.
I never liked giving up the draft pick, but was okay with McCann leaving. Unfortunately, this team is still badly needs some toughness/grit and Gudbranson was so bad.

Pretty sad when an exhibition game results in the highlight of your career. |

They've been standing up a lot more and a lot better the last few games ā they got in so much trouble the first few when they collapsed in from the neutral zone
I think the Canucks D is a bit wonky, with Edler/Schmidt being the first pairing, and then neither Hughes or Myers being the solid second pairing. |

I remember thinking it was an overpay but keeping a somewhat open mind on Gudbranson but it was obvious early that he couldnāt move the puck against the forecheck and lacked defensive awareness. He could probably look decent in a more aggressive man to man defensive system like Sutter ran in LA. Incidentally, Sutter is an advisor for the Ducks and Gudbranson looked decent playing for them lol |

Well his career brought him lots of coke, booze and skanks. Hopefully he feels satisfied with what he has done with his natural gifts. He will likely be selling used cars in 5 years |

Yeah, outside of Edler/Schmidt, thereās been no real chemistry. I agree that theyāve been standing up a bit more, hopefully thatās an adjustment the coaching staff is finally making. |

Depends on where he ends up. I think playing on a more aggressive team with a coach who encourages him to run around, it could help him(STL, WAS, BOS, etc), but if he ends up on some random team like SJ, DET, FLA, ARZ..I think heās going to continue to be frustrating to watch. |

Have to disagree, Myers is always playing sound defensively and if out of position it is a direct result of a lack of support from the the rest of the exiting forwards, and of course āI can put up points but screw playing defenceā Hughes.
Myers is calm and poised, good first pass out guy, constantly thrown under the bus by lazy players not wanting to move the puck. - Makita

Reuby was right, it was young stars. I was there. Crowd went nuts and then the oilers didnāt dress him for the last 2 games enraging all the Albertans that came to see him on those games only. Fortunately I was there for the whole tournament. |

I could see him doing well in Boston for sure. Would love to package him for DeBrusk. Jake plus Rafferty/Chatfield? Not sure what Boston needs |

Iām thinking more about his pre-season game vs SJ, he had Sharks dmen hearing footsteps and forced them to make a couple of panic plays with the puck. I was hoping heād become a Dustin Brown type but Brownās a better professional and has better puck skills.
No excuses for him not giving full effort on and off the ice but still think he and TG were a bad fit from day one |

A sluggish start but the home crowd will get them pumped.
5-4 OT loss. Myers with a hatty.
Thanks Vintage. |

Went to see it in theater last year. As you might expect it was a bunch of 50+ year old men, most of them by themselves... it was sad |
