Having someone on the top 2 lines that is aggressive(not a wussy), should also be a priority - Reubenkincade
I think most teams would love someone like that. Those types of players are in just short supply throughout the league. Podz could be that player next season.
JV had 5 hits in 8 minutes tonight.
Canucks really do need some help from their bottom 6. |

They can get rid of that bottom six anytime. Keep Motte and gauds the rest can go. |

Corey Hursh had some pretty big chirps for rousell. Says to sit him.
I missed the game
Hodg hit didn’t even look bad to me. Forbert going back at him was crazy. Zac Mac will be going him on Sunday 100%. |

I really don't care about the rest of this year, I'm super fine with the team playing hard and losing. The entire years was about setting themselves up for next season to me anyways.
Although I don't like the Canucks to lose ever.
Benning though, has two jobs to do. Find a new coach with more experience and to remake most of the bottom 6. - manvanfan

Sad that the team only has 1 guy capable of messing it up with some of the league heavyweights.
Hopefully Jonah pans out. |

Pro: the RR looked much better in game action, and Demko looked good.
Con: we lose again. |

The fact Forbert isn’t unconscious is a tragedy. Most ashamed I’ve been as a Canucks fan and I watched some real dark eras of hockey - CanuckDon

Just trade JV and get it over with, he's read the rumours. 14 day quarantine, no big deal, he won't be doing anything anyway, cept getting bent behind Burger King DT. |

Wonder if they are just waiting till Hawryluk gets up to speed and Motte comes back from injury before they trade him. |

Sell for futures, real good draft this year. Get a good player in the 3rd round. |

In this draft, you might be getting a Zach Werenski, Ivan Provorov at 7-8. |

I wonder if now would be a good time for Aqualini to go back on a Twitter rant? Really inspire the guys a bit more. |

Only Canadian leagues have taken a bit of a hit. A lot of other leagues have got in at least 20 plus games so far. A lot of the stronger drafted players have gone elsewhere also.
Carson Lambos is in Finland, Brandt Clarke is in Slovakia, Cole Sillinger is tearing up the USHL.
Maybe past the 3rd round, things will look a bit strange.
Sweden at Christmas they shut down the junior leagues, a lot of the better players that probably would be drafted have been shuffled into the SHL for some games and the Ettan, the 3rd division there.
WHL is going for a bubble and 24 games i believe. I'm not sure what the OHL is doing but the OHL wasn't going to have the strongest draft this year anyways. |

I thought so too. It’s tough to have much impact in 8ish min playing with Lui Lui, but he has to play that way every shift before he’ll get more/better min.
I know you like Myers in the top 4 but man, dude can barely skate. Maybe compared to 1980 Dmen he looks ok but compared to Hughes, Schmidt, even Benn, he looks awful pivoting or turning. There was one play where he was rushing the puck and tried to give the opposing defender a shake and bake move and nearly fell down. |

I think Don’s making a mountain out of a molehill. Hoofs can look after himself. Sure, he turtles a bit at the end there but he didn’t want to end up at the bottom of that pile.
Everyone squared off there. Virtanen would have pounded his guy if the linesman wasn’t in the way. Myers had Dilbert at the bottom of a pile. |

I know you like Hughes and Schmidt but did you see Hughes several times just look at his check in the defensive zone. Also, how often do you see him take a hand off his stick, so he might actually be able to make a stickcheck. Have you watched him skate the puck into trouble, have you seen him not move the puck forward, then go for a skate with the puck.
Back in the day, it was called being a puckhog and the boys took care of that in the dressing room.
Now Schmidt, how did you like that 1o foot sucker pass in the neutral zone that was off by 3 feet causing player to stretch forward. The forward had the puck bounce over stick and it then created odd-man rush against. Or how about those passes in the defensive zone that are just being the intended receiver of pass. Or like Hughes not passing the puck up to the open man.
But hey, they are great skaters and look sexy while out on the ice. That is all that matters.
See, I can pick apart players just as easily as others can pick apart different players that they like and for some reason refuse to. |
