McDavid is the best offensive player in the league because he plays faster than anyone else.
I'm not so sure I would trade Matthews even up for McDavid until he learns to play defense.

Matthews has been unbelievable. They are very different players, so it’s hard to compare but the speed and elusiveness of McDavid gives him my vote. But just the fact that there’s a debate to be had means you’re winning. Leafs must be thinking cup or bust in the next 3 years with all the talent they have but the same can be said about 4-5 other teams in the league. If any team in the East (“North”) wins, I wouldn’t mind seeing it be them. Hope the Rangers rebuild progresses like the Leafs, the moves they make this off-season will be critical.

I wonder if he’s still at a live-in family’s home. If so they likely have kids/more family members out and about than most players. So if one of them tests positive or is associated with someone who tests positive he may be added to the list by default. Hopefully it’s like last time where he was on the list for 2 days out of caution before returning.
