I mean they are good on the rush at least, hence why they've done as well as they have up until now with the extra firepower, but I defintiely agree they generate absolutely nothing on the cycle and I think that part is on Julien. That said though if Price was worth a piece of poop and they weren't taking so many penalties scoring 3 goals is often enough to win a game.

Agree on Julien. They’re too one-dimensional and that’s on him. But at the same time Toronto is really good and they schooled Montreal tonight.

Summary since noon-time?

Is it time to burn it all down? I thought the retros were supposed to make them invincible...

- Bendecko

not sure about that, but a curse seems to be slowly forming around it, although the recent games with their regular jersey weren't that great either

hence why Ekholm could be a nice addition... but yeah they should be playing better than this. not sure Price would be the reason they lost though, yes he let in 5 goals but for most of them there wasn't much else he could've done
- Pat1993

Ekholm is a long shot we need to play well in next 10 games against Sens and Jets and it starts tomorrow night

yeah, comes back to what I was saying, no goaltender could be consistent enough to justify that salary 100% of the time. that being said I don't think he was part of the problem tonight, but then again it could be the gin clouding my judgment lololl
- Pat1993

Where I really take issue with Price is that statistically, he's well outside of the top 30 goalies in the league.... I can forgive not playing like his Vezina form 100% of the time, but this season he's been downright garbage.

Last few games we had a much harder time scoring goals , and repeating myself again, Price is not doing his job, 3rd pairing defense needs some veteran leadership, put Edmundson on that pairing with Romanov on the right and put Kulak back with Petry. Suzuki need to wake up as well. More importantly stay out of the freaking box
- habs88888

Suzuki is in his sophomore season. If he's supposed to lead this team already, then they're in big trouble.

Price could have saved at least 2 of the goals tonight

Not saying he should be leading the team but he is nowhere close to his level of play at the beginning of the season

i just watched all the goals and the only one i think he definitely should have had was probably matthews' second one. he was pretty helpless on 2 or 3 of them.

I am with you 100% with the exception of the win last Saturday vs. Leafs, he is playing like a back up goalie most nights

I think his stats make it look worse than it actually is, I agree he still needs to get better but you can see he's slowly getting his mojo back. I'm not too worried about him

I really really want to believe that and I hope you're right, but I cant say I see the same thing. I think he's mentally fragile, when he lets one in he tends to let in another quick one like tonight and the game against Calgary where he blew his shutout. I hope he can find his game, I really do.

yeah I think most people are lol, I understand the concern but I'm confident he'll be fine in the long run. you can't deny he did make some very key saves tonight to keep his team in the game

read the last sentences again

nobody is playing at level they were playing at the start of the season

it's not suzuki or player z at this point

it's the team

and if you really want to point a player, then it's price
