sure, why not
- Pat1993

I hear ya... just not sure theres a UFA to be upgrade over Edmundson out there... Edler? Staal? Goligoski? Meh?

Edmundson was the 4th most used D in the Blues Championship run, so it's not like you CAN'T win with him in the top 4

good point... with Chiarot and Weber that are bigger/more physical but slower, having a more mobile/offensive minded D to balance things out could be useful but yeah it's not the end of the world either if they go with the current pairings

that is some sound grading once again Karine, good job

what do you think MB will try to add to the roster before the trade deadline (if he does add anything)?

- Pat1993

That is a very good question...if the face-off issues arent sorted, MB might get a veteran 4th C, you can’t go far in the playoffs if you’re always chasing the puck...

With the quarantine though i’m not sure if there will be that much action...although the deadline is on April 12th and the season ends on May 8th...so if you make a trade without using line-up guys, you’re not depleted line-up wise for 14 days but your new guy has to fit in quickly to be in gear for the playoffs

Some are saying that another reliable D could be an idea as we do not know in what shape Weber will be come playoffs time with the hectic calendar ahead...but we’ll see...I normally take the day off for trade deadline day, dunno if i will this year...

Agree with most the ratings but to say "we're use to more production from Gallagher" is not factual at all...through 15 games he's got 6 goals and 3 assists... over a regular schedule that's a 30+ season with around 50 points, that's right on par, no?
- obie

Fair point, maybe it just seemed more to me usually lol...

What do you make of the Drouin grade? I think you’re one of the ones ready to trade him arent you?

Definitely not a mobile group so I see your point.... just an odd year because of expansion, if you add a good D with term, you probably have to expose Chiarot... so you go for a UFA to be and you're left with slim pickings!! I mean, if they could add OEL I'd be down for sure!!

it'll probably be a very quiet day, although some teams might be more willing to trade because of tougher financial circumstances..? I'm asking, not really aware of what's going on around the league cap-wise lol

I wouldn't have him higher than Gallagher but from a B to B+ is just splitting hairs really... not a fan of Drouin but I don't necessarily think they should trade him, they definitely wouldn't get a F of his caliber in return.... but like I just said to Pat about a completely different topic but it also applies here, if they we're to trade Drouin and get OEL back, I'd be down!

Maybe TB will do Bergy a solid and trade him Hedman for a nice assortment of 4th liners and picks?

All the articles I've read, and there's been a few, suggest that they definitely are!

Picks and young assets, the usual I suppose... Mete & Poehling would come to mind, wouldn't be shocked if Ylonen was used in a deal before we ever see him in Montreal either

I doubt Mete would have much weight in this trade, both figuratively and literally lol.. but yeah TSN is also reporting the preds are on the brink of becoming sellers, you might be on to something there

Ha!

That particular article suggests a 1st + Ylonen + Fairbrother... what do you say to that? 1 more year for Ekholm at a bargain 3.75!

no clue who that guy is, but I've been watching the game tonight and he seems to have a decent shot lol... but if I'm David Poile I might be looking for a bit more..? agreed that it's a very decent bargain though for Ekholm with his contract

Timmins loved Fairbrother at the draft, they had Bergy mic'd, he had a deal for the pick but Timmins squashed it because he wanted Fairbrother

Bergy is a riot at the drafts!
