I think JB's somewhat happy he's been handcuffed by the flat cap and FA.

You mean McDavid and Draisatl. They are 80%of that entire team. - Retinalz
Yeah, sort of. But Koskinen played well and I can't help but like Nurse. I think every team knows what happens when you give McDavid the space, yet he still seems to find it.

There you go.
fun fact: The Canucks have played exactly 500 regular season games under Jim Benning's regime.
His record is 219-225-56 for an average season finish of 81 points. |

I'm sure there would be a 1st involved. They do like Gaudette I understand. Fabbro scored 67 points with the Vee's.

Canucks win loss tie OTL since existence
1634-1729-391-156
Bennings numbers seem to be right in line with every other Canuck GM

I actually was just looking at some proposals on another site and came across an interesting idea that worked out money wise also . Their acquisitions this offseason was RNH @ 3x7 and Adam Larsson @ 2x4.5 . Top three lines were
RNH Petey Brock
Hog Bo Podk
Motte Miller Gaudette. - VANTEL
That is something I wouldn't hope to happen, any of it. |

Loui doesn't come off until the season after the next, so it's an extra two years of Henrique.
I would trade Loui, a pick/prospect, and Sutter (2.1 retained) for Henrique (2 mil retained) and another contract that ends this year to help even out the money.
Canucks get their third line center for the next few years at 4 mil. Anaheim gets out from the contract sooner (Sutter at the end of the year, Loui before Henrique), and actually spends less actual money. - NewYorkNuck
An extra two years of a currently looks to be declining player. So walking back into another LE contract after they could get out of one next year with a buyout. Plus you want to add to that?
Henrique's contract is where, you either take the same poop money back and term or you add a first to get rid of it. |

They said that Renne, Josi, Ellis are the only untouchables.
I wouldn't mind Colton Sissons. Signed for term, not having the best season. Takes face-off's, good penalty killer. Faster, more physical than most of Van's bottom 6. |

He's been a pretty consistent 40 point player his entire career, including last year where he had 26 goals. Having him for 3 years at 3.8 to be the vet for the third line center isn't bad. You're freeing up over 2 mil and addressing a need they'll need moving forward.
Plus, you're moving out LE's money that's just sitting on the taxi squad for a player who will actually provide value in the lineup. Send Beagle down or trade him, and you've revamped the bottom 6 in one off-season.
And the add to it isn't big: a 3rd rounder or someone like Rafferty.
I'm not saying this is ideal/what I'd want, just an opportunity if Henrique can rebound with whatever is happening this season. |

The Thanksgiving standings. Normally 12 out of 16 teams make the playoffs out of here.
Benning better be ready to sell. |

Loui had 30 before he joined us.
No.
Let the garbage contracts go away. Players in the mid 20s on longer term. 30 year Olds 1 to 2 plus years. If it doesn't fit don't sign them. Gm like Joe Sakic keep space. I bet they end up with 3 years of Sidney Crosby. Nate and said are beasties avs have space and about 3 years worth of run in them cap wise. Theyll move a 1st a young Dman prob Byrum and something else. |
