your bias Karine against Mete is obvious. He was given 2 penalties yes but the 2nd was very weak...they didn't lose because of Victor..they lost bc the refs took a way a huge comeback goal from KK that deflated the team and perhaps a goal CP should have stopped...the forwards were not consistent...where was Gally, Suzuki and Drouin last night?...Weber was pathetic on the one Leafs goal when Mathews dumped the puck in at the blue line....
- Hockey Pucker

Weber also went for a hit on Marner last game which ended up in a goal on our net

Sorry but it’s not bias, he’s a defensive liability and that’s why he barely plays. I know re Gally, Suzuki etc...I did say that our best players just werent our best players last night and I did talk about Weber as well.

For now at least, it looks like giving him Tatar worked...let’s hope it carries on

For the Canadiens to beat the Maple Leafs, Carey Price just cannot give them 5 goals. It has to be said that the penalties and the odd man rushes didn’t help him tonight, but that 4th goal, he could and should have stopped.

he let in a bad goal, yes, but in the end it wouldn't really have changed the result had he stopped that one

Karine... At the end, Leafs talent > Habs talent...

To win, the Habs have to play a very good defensive game, Price has to play like a $10M goalie...

And the Leafs have to play an ordinary game...

Yesterday, Habs played a very ordinary game and Leafs best players played a good one...

Easy to forecast the result when this happens...

He's looking primed for a bit of a breakout... I'd put Anderson on that line tonight, give him all the help he needs...

And Drouin looks like a deer in headlights with the puck on his stick in prime scoring spots... is he afraid to get hit? No confidence in his shot at all? Unbelievable, oh and the turnovers 🙄

KK is playing better hockey lately than Suzuki and this explains a bit the stuggle...

Suzuki is a young player and I was very worried before beginning of the season regarding all the pressure we were putting on him...

He is the real deal but again... It's his 2nd season...

Most Habs played well, they caught a bad break, in my opinion that was a goal... Matthews is on fire right now, he was the difference like he has been for Toronto on most nights this season... Price has to be better, Allen needs to beat the Sens tonight, can't drop this game

Drouin is easy to play against... As soon as you can be in a physical one on one fight, you win...

Drouin is very hard to play against when he is playing fast game in a non physical environment... Like tonight, this will not be easy for you, Mr Drouin... Anderson played great but he is going to injure himself ramming guys like that...

please back up your statement of defensive liability with facts or stats...you can't....Mete is not a liability..he's undersized and defends differently, He's miles above Kulak....what's Romanoff done lately that makes him worthy of not being sent down to the AHL for seasoning?...is Chariot that stellar as a partner for Weber?...what was Petry's game like last night?...give it a rest on Mete.

He needs to shoot, he had a huge goal on his stick, could have walked in and used his hands which he clearly trust more than his shot but he just stopped and waited for Anderson to come in and take the shot... Freddy knew what he was gonna do before Drouin did!

I am not a big fan of Mete but as soon as you put some physical forecheck on him... He is useless...

Chiarot is not playing good hockey past 5 games and Weber looks very slow when he is not playing a good game... I would bring Fleury, put Romanov on left side.

Which Left D is playing good this year? Very difficult... Edmonston is clearly a 3rd pair guy and can't play with Weber...

Why don't we try Weber and Romanov together? And put Fleury with Edmonston on the 3rd?

Petry - Chiariot

Weber - Romanov

Fleury - Edmonston

shake things up sure...but Mete's metrics tell a different story...he is good...its HAbs fans that are biased against him

And as soon and you put the puck past Chiarot, Edmonson or Weber you are going to get cycled to death or odd-man-rushed...easier to have someone in support of Mete in the strategy than to somehow make the three mentioned d-men faster, but MUSCLES GOOD.

He is very good but we can't trade him...

As I said, he does not look bad as long as you don't play hard on him...

That being said, none of Habs D played a great game yesterday and he was not worse than them...

If all other D are playing very well, you can keep Mete in the line-up and it will be OK... but don't count on him to make a positive difference...

Today's NHL 2.0 Defense is Big and Fast... We have either big or fast but only Petry can bring both and eventually Romanov...

Weber is Slow and Big

Chiariot is Slow and Big

Edmonston is Slow and Big

Meter is Fast and Small

Fleury is Fast and Medium

How is doing the one we waived to Florida?

Other subject... Michel Bergeron surely had a hard on when he saw yesterday's game at Lake Tahoe... Honestly, that Jersey was spectacular even for a Habs Fan like me!

I somehow still think that disallowed goal really dug us in but we were not disciplined enough
- habs88888

Not disciplined and also not talented enough. I would recommend trying to acquire a top 6 centre. Having zero on your team is detrimental.

he never did and he never will

there is no such thing in the nhl

he needs to be better, but people need to let go of that contract

Bergevin gave him that deal

a 2 on 0, a 2 on 1 and a couple shots from Matthews that no goalie in Canada is stopping at the moment, what are you gonna do? Gotta beat the Senaturds, that's what....

I think it's more his stats and level of play since the start of the season. And it's not only about last night.

They could play Allen even more for a short period, but the guy lost the number one spot with the blues for a reason. He's no longer a number one goalie in this league and a few games won't change my mind. He might be a pretty good back up, but still a back up.

He hasn't been great but the offense dried up for a couple weeks too... looked much better last night, better than the game they actually won against the Leafs... it's great that you can roll 4 lines but when things are not going well, you need to start combining elements that are working for you
