Barkov and Huberdeau aren't playing together this season, though.

He's big, fast, can score, and competes every shift. And can fight if needed.

Great deal. Anderson has more goals than Willy this year. He is force on the ice each and every shift. Even if he is not scoring he is making an impact on the game.And makes less money. How can anybody that understands hockey(particularly playoff hockey) not want Anderson over Nylander. I just can’t see the argument. Please explain.

Yes let's base it off this year that makes a whole lot of sense. Take a look at last year too. Andersen has had it easy this year with the schedule. He's not as good as Nylander even though I do like him.

Nylander is a 30 goal scorer who will likely figure out the the consistency eventually. It would be a dumb trade.

Is he good defensively? no, but that doesn't mean he cant be an extremely effective player for the leafs. Andersens contract will end up looking bad IMO.

Justin Schultz has become a pretty solid Dman.

He would be a nice add, for what we would lose in finish...which isn't much...his physical play and D work would be much better than Willy. And almost, $2mln less. (who the fukc does M as mln?!? )

(PS, not a Willy hater but his flaws really bug me sometimes. I like tougher players, not sweeties. Had problems with Kessel for the same reason.)

They are very different players in terms of style. But imo Josh Anderson is an all around better player than Nylander, just far far more complete and consistent.

Leafs have played the Habs 4 times this year. Have you watched at all? Who has been more dominant in everyone of those games, Nylander or Anderson? Dude it’s not really up for debate. Anderson on the Leafs is way more valuable than Willy. But you have a right to your opinion(even if it is ridiculous).

The players are so good now that a big hit usually results in the play going in the other direction. Weber tried to step up on Matthews and it ended up behind Price.
