I wouldn't. Kerfoot has value, but is far less value than Forsberg. Kerfoot can be a line 2/3 guy, which is good - but he's not a top line player, and those are hard to come by. A lower 1st pick (20 - 31), and a guy who's probably our 5th best prospect, albeit one with a good shot of making the NHL . . . I would think a proposal like that probably wouldn't inspire movement even without the retention - although they could probably flip Kerfoot for a 2nd. I think if you want him with retention the price goes enough to really entice them, but it's an area we shouldn't enter - Sandin or Robertson.

You are probably right, and I agree, you do not put Sandin/Robertson on the table.

Canada has bought enough vaccines to give all citizens 8-10 vaccine doses if I remember well.. how come the pfizer // moderna // j&j // azeneca vaccines still aren't rolled out properly? bad logistic setup or not all doses delivered yet?
- MaximusAurelius

I'll never understand why they do this. Why have enough vaccines to vaccinate everyone 10 times? it makes no sense. They apparently still have hundreds of millions of SARS vaccines, for no apparent reason.

Stop shopping at f*&king Costco you idiots.

That would be awesome, but doubtful. Not sure who they could use for matching, even at half retained.

Others all after the rest.

I dont think id do it, simply as Forsberg doesnt have a long time left on his contract. I think Miles Wood should be a target as he would come for less cost.

I guess the Habs are back to sucking.

It was a good ride.

An honest assessment? They are still a good team, but cruising through Vancouver probably changed their perspective of proper work ethic. Things don't come that easily at the NHL, and 5 games against a team who is beyond floundering probably didn't help. That said, Montreal's style of play seems to be anathema to Vancouver's porous defense. Vancouver has actually performed adequately against everyone other than Toronto and Montreal (their record is 7-5-2 (3 wins against Ottawa)). They're young centres are still a problem, and Price hasn't been consistent. I do have a question about Weber that perhaps you would've seen more than I have: Is he doing ok? He's looked good when I've seen him, although a couple of times he's been drawn out of position in the pursuit of a hit (like Phaneuf was prone to do) , and he is the only minus player on the Habs. Is it a product of poor decisions, or just a product of playing so many minutes against top competition?

On the Habs, the young centres haven't found their game against not Vancouver - Suzuki had a great start in his first 10 games, he had a goal and 3 assists against non-Vancouver teams (2G/5A against Van), but has only 2 assists in his last 7 games.

Kotkaniemi has been worse with 1G, 2A in 12 games against not Vancouver - but he has a goal and 4 assists against Vancouver.

The most stark is Toffoli who has 8G and 3A in 5 games against Vancouver. He has next level rage about not being resigned apparently. But he's still on pace for a 20G season against other competition, which is where you'd expect him to be.

Anderson has obviously been a revelation. He's been a physical douchebag who is on pace for 40 goals against not Vancouver. You couldn't ask for much more elevation in his game.

Petry is even having a career year. I think he was looking at around a 50+ point pace against not Vancouver. His defense doesn't look any worse - he's always had some holes in his game - offensive styles do that - but he's been very good this year.

Objectively, I'm also a big fan of Edmundson's game. He's been tough to play against and done his job very well.

After just 17 games, which is premature, I think the Habs clearly win the Domi trade, I think they're better for it, but they are still weak / immature down the middle, and Price has not been consistently good in net either.

Personally, I still think they're a top-4 team in the division after initially thinking they were a bubble team.

at the time when the different purchasing agreement were made, it was not clear which/whether these covid vaccines would protect, and to what extent.

so lots of gov'ts hedged against the option of some of the vaccine canddiates not working out eventually.

ideal case -- canada uses the vacines for their own citizens and gifts the rest to Covax initiative (set up to get vaccines to other countries)

most of these vaccines are produced in the EU..

AZ: EDIT: seems AZ is manufactured at several sites in EU. pitty for the EU however that this is not a good vaccine (will be phased out when J&J, sputnik and novavax vaccine will get to market)
J&J: US
Pfizer: US & EU (Belgium)
Moderna: US & Switzerland

the whole problem for the EU is that all vaccine R&D and manufacturing was privitized last 20 years -- no public vaccine manufacturers anymore available.
it's not good to privatize 100% one of your most important public health tools.
however - in 2 years, all will be back to normal (apart from a few 500page 'evaluation reports).

Other fanbases are so funny. A media person posts those stats about Auston Matthews, and someone posts the stats about Pasta and says he is better, like they are saying Matthews is the only good player or something.

So much hate and insecurity.
