Depends how you feel about Mete I guess. There was a whole page essentially of one Mete comment over and over. So even if you're skimming it you have enough opportunity to read it all - Takemedrunkimhome

advanced stats are a nice tool to have, and there's a lot you can read into them, but just like most things in life you need to consider everything to get a clear picture. otherwise you end up wondering if Mete is "an offensive star in the making" lololll
If expected goals doesn't align, at least slightly, with actual goals it clearly shows the flaw in the stat. When stats don't match the eye test it's generally due to an issue with the statistic itself or the application of it but stats people treat it like dogma and put on blinders to anything else. People who argue process over results in sports tend to miss that sports is the ultimate results driven business and if you don't get results you likely won't be around long enough to see your process play out
