maybe a guy like Benoit Groulx..? they better not be recycling a previous habs coach or player again lol - Pat1993
https://www.journaldemont...en-a-la-barre-du-canadien

Voilà! - Karine Hains

Didn't think he looked that bad. Habs could use his quickness. Flaws will always be physicality and lack of a good shot.
Ben Chiarot in the other hand. Ohh boy. The guy stinks. Can't make a play offensively, can't hit the net when he shoots the puck, and can't make the outlet pass to forwards, aside from that stupid dump in the air in the neutral zone that always kills the attack.
Add to that the stupid repetitive penalties. - stinger67
The curse of not having anybody to play with Weber has now been placed on Chiarot after a good playoffs. He's not a 1st pairing guy and the Habs need to acknowledge that. You could argue his delay of game Saturday was a key factor/TSN turning point of the game |

More the SS Julien. Pressure is on him right now.
They have a good team. Having a 20, and a 21 year old as 2 of the 3 centres of your top 9 is not ideal, but it will get worse when you have a coach who is zero interested in player development. - stinger67
The Danault line is pure poop, that was supposed to be their anchor and it is now their big weakness up front. Danault went from thinking he was Patrice Bergeron 2.0 while he not even Nate Thompson 2.0 this season.
I would not even offer him a contract right now with the way he is playing. Same Tuna, for guys about to be UFA, they completely suck, they are leaving A LOT of money on the table.
As much as we want to blame the coach, he is not the one playing, players have to be accountable. |

What's the solution there? Cause I don't think Romanov is ready yet. |

Kotkaniemi doesn't play top 6 minutes and he has 2 of those, should probably have 3 but he creates much more around the net, and he's still on his ELC, he's not the problem |

That's the thing, who takes Chiarot spot?
The only thing you can do is to put Edmunson there with Weber.
That or you give more ice time to Edmunson and Petry. |

i don't disagree but i see what's going on up front as being a far bigger issue for Montreal. they cannot generate anything. they cannot even sustain pressure in the offensive zone for 30 seconds. and when they do it's just sliding the puck around the boards. the second they look to work the puck into the middle of the ice it's turned over.
RDS had a stat last night after the second period. Montreal was outshooting Ottawa but they had 2 slot chances through 40 minutes. 2. that is absolutely insane. they are just baffled offensively right now. |
