Ran into a friend I used to jam with who asked me to get back into it. We'll see.
You guys practicing at all? - Fenrir
Nope. Niagara region is still in lock down.
We were getting together until the week before Christmas.

Damn! That's a lot of songs, how many have you learned?
Better be ready, the bars could open up tomorrow. |

Not likely around here!
We are still in a state of no gatherings of more than 5 people, family only. Stay at home. Bars & restaurants are take out only. Masks mandatory indoors everywhere. |

I'd say I've learned about 14. And 5 or 6 of them I won't be singing lead on, so that's easy.
The guys are killing me with screamers like Baba O'Reilly, Funk49, Woman From Tokyo...
Lots of fun, but tough on the throat. (Wow, couldn't of teed it up more for you guys!) |

Lets hope so. Id guess his leave of absence has more to do with him staying low and trying to ensure his family is safe and doing what he can to get them here in the States. |

unlike the "Me too: movement - this is a third party allegation with no corroboration. It appears to be horsepoop. I can't figure why he would need to take a leave of absence if he is not going back to Russia? That worries me a little. |

obviously this is gonna be tough, he could miss 6 or 7 games at least and then as it stands already we are already 6 points out of last playoff spot
really need to toe the line here and really really need Zibinajed to step up |

Also, remember in today's culture: You are guilty before you are innocent.
If a cousin's mother's friend's neighbor accuses you of being a possible pig (frank)er because she heard you squeal once 10 years ago, you are guilty and should be cancelled. |

I really don't think that's the case here though, I haven't seen it at all that people are acting like that because of this accusation
there is no woman making a complaint here
Mollie Walker of the Post is the one taking the lead on almost all of the stories being written about this case and she certainly isnt taking it from the angle of "Panarin needs to be canceled"
she's been great
this whole thing is garbage, everybody knows it |

If someone came out and told the public you beat up a woman, would you be able to go about your life like everything was normal? I know I would be devastated for someone to say that about me. |

I mean, I guess just worry about his family back home and the nature of being accused of something like this, understandably hard to focus on hockey at the moment

Totally get where you're coming from.
My guess would be the maybe he (and his camp) doesn't think its safe for him to go back, but perhaps his family is being brought to him? Who knows. Hopefully, everyone involved will be safe and hopefully someday we'll find out the truth. |

I would want to be occupied as much as possible and to Jim's point below- He has people I am sure (he is rich) and we have a State Department and the Rangers organization to help facilitate.
I guess my point is that there is a critical piece missing we do not know as the leave doesnt make sense to me |

But that is the thing, everyone processes things like this differently. Why I have no issue with him stepping away. If someone is out there trying to destroy his name and reputation and the whole world is now aware of the allegations its a lot different IMO. |
