I know he got the 5 min major and doesn’t play special teams, but rewarding ZMac with like 7-8 minutes during a night where he kicked Forbort’s ass and was one of the better forwards on the team pretty much sums up Green’s stubbornness when it comes to playing younger role players over washed up vets.

I've been in Greens corner more than once but it's becoming apparent he can't get the club to the next level consistently. Now that may change a bit with some roster moves hard to say. But some of the roster decisions (and goaltending starts) has me just baffled...

But a Leafs poster commented on Greens arrogance in comparison to Babcock. I actually think this is a bit of an issue. When Toffoli got here last year Green OUTRIGHT refused to play him with Pearson as that's what the fans and media were crying for. Its was almost like a Babcock situation (with Matthews) where he was purposely not playing him enough or where he was supposed to be just to piss them off.

Now I hope that's not the case but somehow I think it is. Green is pissed he wasn't offered a contract after the PO run last year you can bet you next years worth of pay checks on it lol
