2 D out for Buffalo McCabe & Borgen. Guess who's claiming Schenn?

They were 24-19-6 when he was fired, 0.551 winning percentage. McCrimmon said he felt like they should be better.
- Pacificgem

Yes that is what I said 24 wins 25 losses.

Probably because a skilled team like Vegas were 24-25 when they fired him and the next guy stepped in and went 26-12
- VANTEL

Yeah. They should’ve been playing better at that point, I also think that they really liked DeBoer and didn’t want to risk someone else hiring him if they fired Gallant later.

It’s one of those “if you’re already thinking of firing him, you should probably just do it”

I respect Vegas for acting fast instead of dragging their feet like a lot of teams do when it comes to making a big change.

Lol. The pandemic has been really made it easy to get laid. And instead of costly dinner dates it’s just a few drinks in a park and then a hot tub

I'm at the point where anything is better than Green. I can't stand his passive, smug arrogance.

Why you need another solid young NHL D.
- VanHockeyGuy

So? Have to move on eventually. WPG turfed their entire bottom 2 pairings a year and half ago and are doing just fine building around Pionk and Morrisey. We can easily start building around Hughes OJ and Myers/Schmidt...are you saying Benning can't do it? lol

I don't have a problem with Benning's drafting, I don't think he has the savvy to add key asset's to take this team to the next level.

Mike Gillis was 261-146-15-36 as President and General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks, if we're just going by a man's record we should probably re-hire him and we'll have success once again.

Obvious with a record like that he must've been a helluva GM

Hey I'm all for replacing him, that said, it's not as easy as just saying I'll take this guy or that guy in free agency, where you tend to overpay. That's a two-way street. If Benning waits too long he runs the risk of losing Edler, unlikely as he doesn't want to play anywhere else, and or losing out on free agency.
- Pacificgem

That could never happen, players are very patient and understand when a GM is looking for better options - they are happy to wait around.

1970 was a great year for Vintage Port, Red Bordeaux and California Cabernet. New NHL hockey teams, not so much.

Wasn't he the guy you said you would sign JV over him?

You said he was slow.
