Don't care about the Kulak vs Mete, that's not what is killing this team right now. They need their top 9 forwards to show up and generate offense....and score FFS.
Not sure what his problem is but Danault is a different player, not sure if it is the contract situation but he is a mess, he generates nothing, sucks on the PK in coverage, he is not the player we have seen the pat few years. Same with Tatar. - Symba007
one thing that drives me nuts is that Julien never strays from his 4 lines bullpoop. what the (frank) does the Jake Evans line need 12 minutes for? on a night like Saturday when KK has jump, play the poop out of that line. when you've got guys going, keep throwing them out there every 2 or 3 shifts. |

It's gonna end up costing him his job, imo..

as I mentioned earlier maybe CJ is afraid of players being overworked if he shortens his bench... but I agree with what you're saying, the 4th line doesn't need all that ice time lol |

with 41 games in 78 days, all 4 lines will be needed.
that's where their depth will become an important asset. other teams with less depth might have a harder time going through that kind of schedule. |

i think we're overreacting on Chiarot. he was signed as a third-pairing guy who exceeded expectations and ended up next to Weber because there was no one else to fill that role. he's in a bad stretch but they all are. same with Weber. people have been writing him off since the end of his Nashville days but he always bounces back.
i'm far less worried about the defence than i am the forwards. - DoubleDown
*remembers the Pierre McGuire slobberknocker fest about how Chiarot is a top pairing defenseman* |

Isn't he the second highest paid coach of all time after Babschlong? Not sure he'd mind making 4mil on his coach. |

you can't be that rigid. you have to be able to adapt to the in-game scenario, and you have to balance immediate and long-term requirements, especially when your team is sliding into the tank.

and Lehkonen is still scratched - Symba007
For a team that is suppose to be able to play "any style of game", they seem to be playing the same game over and over and the opposition is eating them alive by clogging the middle of the ice, and easily getting sticks int he way of passes, and waiting to capitalize on bad turnovers.
If the passing game is not working, then adjust.
Instead of tring to use their speed on the dump and chase with strong forechecking to break the logjam at center, they just keep doing the same poop over and over.
Mind boggling to me Leks sits.
The Habs suck at forechecking the last few games yet they continue sit their best forechecker. |

yeah but even when they gain possession in the offensive zone... there's no purpose. it's just sliding the puck around the perimeter until someone shoots from a terrible angle or into a pile of bodies.

protect Kulak, leave Chiarot and Edmunston available for SEA - fidopro
I'd protect Edmunson first, at least he's decent with Petry. I wonder if they can convince Price to waive his NMC with the promise his contract is an albatross so he ll never be selected and then protect Allen. |

I don't know about Danault's as his contract negociations might be a distraction but I hardly see Tatar being a player tough to coach. It seems that the vets were upset when he was taken out of the lineup... |
