Many guys falling in around the net. Probably didn’t want to risk being short handed to either end the game or head into overtime if the refs determined that a flames player pushed a leafs player into BSD. As much as it pains me to say it, it was the right call by ward

Yeah, I get that point too, but overtime is such a coin flip. If nothing else, I'd have challenged just to support my goalie and signal to the team that we want 2 and will settle for nothing less

Totally. A witnessed last night, they are a tough team in OT for sure. All the more reason to go for it in regulation IMO.

IDK. On one hand the Leaf's had all the momentum in the 3rd and had the Flames on the ropes. On the other hand it shows that Ward does not have much faith in his players to win.
