Well, this evening went from good to horrible in 7 minutes. Ugh.

All started with a stupid penalty by a guy who shouldn't be in the lineup.

If Malkin were driving play, I'd give him a chance to be adequate. With Malkin plodding around....not going to work.
- madmike71

I think ZAR has gone from underrated to overrated. His offense is near non-existent.

This might be the first game Ive seen where broken sticks actually won a game. 3 - 4 goals are direct results of broken sticks.

How's ZAR looked with Geno? And more importantly, how's Geno looked?
- Rinosaur

He went from literally completely invisible to some pretty poor give aways. Hoping McCann will be back on Long Island to slot in with geno.

Also hoping burkie is watching and working on getting some long pants hockey (that still has skill) in Pitt

Even if he was in the lineup, why was he on the ice late in the 3rd in a tie game? Maybe I’m reaching here. Frustrated. And lazy. And enigmatic.

That fourth line is such a black hole.

Yeah, they weren't doing anything at all. Gotta shorten the bench in the last 10 minutes if you have a line of plugs who aren't good at anything.

They need to make moves for some 3rd/4th line wingers. O'Connor needs to head to WBS. I think Sceviour needs to hit waivers or traded for a bag of pucks.

I was surprised when O'Connor got the call last night. If ever there was a chance to play Bellerive, this was it. Apparently Sullivan doesn't think much of Bellerive's game at the moment.

Jankowski and Sceviour aren't going anywhere. Like it or not, Sullivan isn't going to bench those two until he has no other choice. You can throw O'Connor in that mix also, Bellerive and Angello were available last night and he chose O'Connor.

McCann should be able to play tomorrow. Today's skate will tell us.

Agreed. That choice by sully and a couple broken sticks and poof were done.

Yea sucks. Jank and Scevior both need sent to the taxi squad and call up some fresh meat for the 4th line .

I think the best place to start would be a new center. Jank just looks slow, he doesn’t forecheck, doesn’t handle pucks well kind of looks like Gumby floating around out there. Sceviour at least looks fast and gets to pucks but his line mates can’t do poop to at least get some time.

I can’t believe they don’t make composite wood blend sticks yet. I used composite sticks for like 2 years and realized I hated them. But light weight composite wood blend would keep the weight down and keep the strength up.

Yeah I don’t think Sceviour is very good either and would love to replace him too but it’s so obvious that Jankowski is the biggest problem on that line. You have to take him out and reevaluate what we have with a new look at 4C.

What does it do to the flexibility? I know in golf too much flex in the shaft causes the ball to hook/slice quite a bit, depending on your swing. Do players want that movement in their shots?

Pre composite days, like 20 years ago, I remember having a Canadien twig that was fiberglass with a wooden core.

I think there’s a few small companies adding various metals to their composite blends but I’m fairly certain anything improving the rigidity is negatively affecting the flex/kick point.
