We’re not close to being able to get into that ball park.

At this point the only chance the Pens have of landing a real top-six talent is moving either Dumo or Petts. That was true before Zuck's injury and it's just pooptier now because we have replace, not add.

What's NSH's goal here? Are they trying to retool? rebuild? Moving Forsberg doesn't seem to make sense to me since he's the only forward doing anything of note.

The TOR trade idea makes at least some sense though.

For some crazy reason I saw Jank doing both last night. Obviously that's McCann's usual spot but haven't noticed who was filling in 2c for the PP because they are barely out there anyways lol. But I agree it's awesome to come right out with the Blueger line after the PP.

I guess he's willing to make an exception for a guy who still plays less than 10 minutes a game.

You're probably right. What I find amusing is not long ago Blueger was unacceptable as a 3C. Now he is irreplaceable.

I love how that was skipped over as well

Never were. Maybe now Forsberg won't come up here. He'll get a haul if they trade him.

And CJ fired lol.

Not something you see very often early in the season when your team is in a playoff spot and wasn't expected to be. Surprised, but I guess there are reasons.

I've felt reluctant about wanting the Pens to make any moves for the following reasons:

1) Geno. If he isn't going to come around, then I think any rental moves are a waste, but I feel like he may be finally turning the corner.

2) Matheson. Obviously it's too early to tell if he's what we feared or can learn to mitigate (obviously not eliminate) his issues. Last night's game was obviously not great for him, but I still saw some good things and he's looked awesome the three games before that. Still too early, I personally want to see more. If he's got the goods, then obviously the Pens have a great trade chip in either Dumo or Petts to grab a solid winger.

Right now, given that Geno looks to be turning the corner and the possible long-term injury to Zucker, I do think the Pens need to dangle their 2nd and maybe a prospect to grab someone like Tatar or Palmieri if possible. I'd also be curious to look into Gusev.

I'd wait until the deadline to rule on Matheson and if he's fitting in, then make a solid hockey trade for a top-six or at least a very good middle-six winger.

The other situation I'd keep my eye on is CHI. I think they're overachieving, but given the short season they may keep it up long enough to grab a spot. If not, I'm looking at Soderberg for the 4C spot.

If zuck is done for the season it’s a real shame Henrique was on waivers last week and not this one. Maybe at some point another player such as him or Byron will hit the waiver wire.

I think beating the pens in the qualification round gave them false hope of heading to contender status.

Thanks for that. I remember they were this great surprise team a few weeks in and boy did that go south quickly. I can't even say if it's the wrong choice, just surprised me.

I'm pretty sure if they wanted Henrique that wouldn't be hard to do. They shouldn't want him though.

Honestly have really come to love the idea of bringing in Fabbri the more I think about it, but why is he not in your long term plans?

They probably won't unfortunately. I like the Bobb Ryan idea. Or Sam Bennet is still wanting a trade...

Because he’s a 25 year old middle 6 guy and the forward prospect pool is very deep.

Only $15m in cap tied up between him and Okposo. Best run org in the league.

Who are the big forward prospects for you guys? I see that Veleno and Rasmussen are both 21. Are they getting a shot any time soon?

That contract has a disaster from the jump. Now, I didn't expect Skinner to nosedive this bad, but I never expected him to come close to living up to that contract.
