This is the prudent move. To ask a center to move to wing without some practice time is asking a lot. It can be done, no question, plus it is easier for a center to move to wing rather than the other way around. With McCann close to returning. there is no reason to do anything drastic.

We got one win on this road trip, one more win would make this a successful trip.

Something needs to be done about the 4th line... at this point, Jank just isnt good enough. Take a chance and find some help internally. give these young guys a chance. its what we needed in 2016 with the WBS guys that came up.

We haven't played the Sabres or Devils yet. I know Boston has, not sure about the other teams. We have to be awake for those Sabres and Devils game and get the wins.

Few surprises in the top 5 of those when I just had a look.

Besides the Caps stinker the Pens play has been improving the past few weeks, especially special teams...and again, most of the sample so far has been with a decimated blue line using 11 different guys with Ceci and Marino on their off sides for games in a row.

The D stepping up was pretty solid for what it was, although sully def misplayed it by putting Marino on his offside. I think the biggest thing was nearly lg worst special teams. If it was even lg average I think Pitt would be up near philly/Boston in points atm and it would be a much different narrative.

In the meantime they need to fix the 4th line. Genos line has ranged from bad to pedestrian so I think if the 4th line can be improved and then2rd can maintain its defensive play with zar moved up then we will be alright.

Well...despite everything they're just 3 points out of 1st (Bruins have game in hand though), 1 point out of 2nd with game in hand over Caps and tied with Philly for points with Philly having a game in hand.

So they managed to salvage a lot of important points while not playing very well at all and decimated with injuries haha

A few tweaks to the bottom-six may get this team to finish 2nd or 3rd in the division, but there is no way they are getting out of the division against Boston.

Hockey moves only IMO. Stay out of the rental market or they will have nothing to get the pieces they need in the off-season.

There's a few what-if scenarios:

1) MM is continues his positive trajectory and either Dumo or Petts gets moved for a quality forward. Also, the Pens can use picks and prospects and bolster other areas.

2) MM nose dives and they need to use these assets to move him so they can free up the cap space to try and sign someone.

Regardless of this, the Pens obviously need to upgrade 4C/3C depending on if the Blueger line remains the 3rd line and I'd prefer they don't go rental on this either. Rentals do them no good right now.
