44 is his career high in 17-18, although he had five more in the playoffs. Does this exaggeration change the guy's point? - mohel

Sheesh. Relax guys. They won last night. A lot of good things are happening and some things need to be fixed.
That's hockey baby. - Elbows15

Konroyd also called last night a goalie win. So, there is that. - Elbows15
If he's talking about OT only, sure. |

Do they need to get better in some areas? Sure. Playing a ton of rookies and new faces with limited practice time is going to leave some areas needing work. Not to mention some pieces are still needed but they are a scrappy bunch that works hard, tries to play the right way and have far exceeded my expectations for this season. So sit back and enjoy is my mantra |

I’m with you. I fully expected them to completely bottom out especially with Toews and Dach missing and with so many rookies and what appeared to be very questionable goaltending. What’s hilarious is that the posters whining the loudest never expected them to be this good and now they’re female doging they’re not better. I’m sure most of these posters are happiest when they’re unhappy. |

It sure looked that way after the first three games. I'm with you and Bows...they've been fun to watch. |

On the PK, I think they should have someone on Laine full time - play the others 4 on 3 - let one of them beat you.

Colliton on scratching Beaudin yesterday: "We're happy with him. There's no negatives. As far as when he gets back in, I'm not sure...but it's all positive for him."
Notes he's gained experience playing big roles on the PP, in OT, etc earlier this season. |

Watching the game last night I hadn't realized that Patrik Laine is a hulking beast out there. 6"5", 14.71 stone. - Rota's Rooter
Large 6'5 beast and Hagel buckled his knees twice in their fisticuffs. He's soft and if we had a few more guys take the body to him on every shift he's out there, he probably will get disinterested.
I think it's time Highmore gets a lot of ice time in Rockford. Way too many mistakes and dumb plays.
Give me more Reece Johnson instead. |

Re Johnson hits an pays attention to playing defensive role. He is offering next to nothing offensively because he isn't skilled.
Soderlund and Entwhustle keep an eye on them. Probably Altybarken (sic) and Barret two years away.
A Fox this offensive dman. Has 1 goal, 6 assists this season. 38 blocks. Reading scouting report, his forte is knowing smart options how.to advance puck.
Is Beaudin comparable to J Bean |

Second game of watching Highmore and his 8 minutes of stupidity. Might as well go with 7 defenseman, then try to shelter 8 minutes worth of brain farts. - LAHawk
Like to see more of reese Johnson instead of highmore. Or bring a player from the rock. |

Agree if hawks can improve on team defense and the rookies continue to develop hawks are going to be in hunt. Still think they end up around .500 which would better than i think thet would do. |

Look...the only people that can possibly be anything other than elated about the Hawks current level of play/place in the standings/progress made towards the rebuild/roster(current and future outlook)/whatever....are just glass half empty kinda people. It’s a sign of their own personal mindset(some individuals are just naturally negative/pessimistic). Can’t change it. They’re gonna feel down/concerned/worried no matter what the team does. Just the way it is. |

And what about Kakko? Why is he not developing/meeting expectations either?
Why has their 1C that led the league in G/60min last season suddenly awful?
Something is going on over there. And now the situation with Panarin ? Yeeeeesh. |
