It's been a long time coming. Hired retreads because of the province having Anglophone dysfunctions holds the team back.

Well. This is odd. I thought the reason for the Habs poor performance of late was all the bad calls coming from “the war room in Toronto”

certainly not great...he has brought in some good talent in trades too though. Petry, Tatar, Suzuki, Danault

Trying to think of worse trades than Serg for Drouin now....
Hall, Larsson
Seguin for Eriksson and co
Jones, Johanson
Duchene to Ottawa
ROR to Blues
any of the Dougie Hamilton trades
...yeah there's plenty out there I guess, can't be too hard on this one

It's a bad deal. All GMs do that.
Not the biggest fan of Bergevin here but sensarmy is just clueless.

Seems Like the Domi for Josh Anderson deal has worked out for Montreal?

He won the trade when trading for Domi and the trade sending him off 2 years later... the Weber & Petry trades look pretty good too... trading away Pacioretty has worked out for him also

Would a coaching change make any difference with that roster?

I think expectations were set too high after beating the Pens in the preliminary round and taking the Flyers to six games. Many predicted that they could compete for 1st in the division even though they finished 24th overall last year with only 71 points.

How has nobody mentioned Panarin being traded for Saad?

Now THAT is a bad trade.

MB drafted Galchenyuk over Rielly. But the coach is the problem

That Karlson for Norris and few picks is also looking good

he also drafted kotkaniemi over tkachuk

and if people can't name 10 trades (out of literally hundreds of trades made over the last decade) that are worse than sergachev for drouin, than it's safe to say it's one of the worst

It's a bit of a stretch, but trading Griffin Reinhart for the pick that selected Barzal and, essentially, about half of what was needed to trade up for Beauvillier was pretty bad
