Add to that the fact that he wasn't able to adapt the play style to this year's new roster which is more fitting to the "new NHL" I'd say hard pass.

Get someone new or someone who hasn't been fired twice for not being able to adapt to today's game.

Lane Lambert and draft his kid to make sure he is happy here. His kid was a big help on the Finnish team this past WJC!

this team is a joke that has no PP. a couple questions for coach dummy:

-what younger/core players are improving? Mantha and Zadina seemed to have regressed

-why cant the PP be fixed?

-why are you still the coach?

First, Dallas is FAR superior to Florida in the team defense category. How do you think they made the finals last year with essentially the same roster scoring 2 goals a game?? C'mon man... You want to talk run and gun, the panthers do it as much as anyone.

Second, why would Claude Julien want to be an assistant coach on (arguably) the worst team in the league? Especially when so many other coaches are on the hot seat and even more have their contracts up after the season.

Julien needs some time off to recuperate. This is probably a blessing for him.

Covid is scary and we need to double maybe even triple mask until everyone is vaccinated. And then we can evaluate the new strains and work on another vaccine for those.

Well...the bar has been set by the NIH as guaranteed immunity, and since 94% of people who die from Covid were already dying, that probably won't be enough. We'll need guaranteed immortality, then we can go back to normal. With masks, of course.
