Ward making excuses! What a fcking donkey. Blaming the schedule. He’s just brutal, and what’s even worse is it was Treliving’s decision. No idea where they go from here.

And in saying that, this is on the players more than anything. Blow it the fck up!!!
At least when we were going through this BS 5 years ago there was hope that the team was going to keep getting better. For the past decade it has been 1 step forward 2 steps back and it won’t be long before the only steps this team is taking is backwards.
I’m torn between wanting to send this core to the fricken moon and wanting to actually have a decent team when we finally have the elite goalie we’ve been missing since kipper. A confrontation that can only be described as insane mediocrity.

Hate to tell ya but Marky ain’t the answer. He’s going to frustrate you beyond belief. But he’ll be just good enough to keep you hopeful.

So you would’ve been upset if he decided to sign in Van? - Chuckywhip
I think most of the Canuck fans on here wanted him gone or if he stayed it would have been year to year, two year contract at most.
Tanev’s a different story as our fans were split 50/50 on stay/go.
Not overly impressive as a second or third pairing d-man but a solid guy in the room who’s much liked by his team mates. Sometimes you can’t put a price tag on team cohesiveness and I think you are seeing that with the Canucks today. Hughes is absolutely lost without him.
IMO, no real team first type guys on the Canucks and it’s affecting the team in the win/loss column. I think Tanev was a solid pickup for you guys.
