Again, Yzerman has built an actual winner. I know we all have opinions, but it’s comparing an arm chair GM to a hall of famer. We can disagree, but pitting yourself against a hall of famer isn’t going to do you any favors.

Since when is having an opinion on something we've all seen fail (Holland's horrible asset management) pitting yourself against a hall of famer ? Having our opinions is why we're on these blogs. I love Yzerman as much as anyone.. but if he starts to emulate Holland it will turn this team into a bigger dumpster fire than what it currently is. I'm not saying he will start to do that... as he's a very effective GM, but we've all seen what happens when the "tie goes to the veteran" even when the veteran is terrible on a regular basis. That's just bad asset management. I've been watching the Wings for over 30 years... and the Griffins for about 15 years so I do think I can add my perspective with some objectivity.
Glad to see the boys get a win tonight. Rinne had a rough night. Glendening's goal was impressive. Man... I don't know what it's going to take to get the Wing's special teams to actually work to some degree. This team isn't going anywhere if the PP and PK don't improve. Outside of just getting better talent I'm not sure what it will take.
