Hopefully it continues against the Pens. They've had trouble with them. I think Wahlstrom is showing good signs. He is a winger that likes to shoot which they need and he has good size. - ses111
I actually punched a wall when the Rangers passed on Wahlstrom and took Kravtsov. Seems like he’s taking a little while to get comfortable but that’s good he’s showing progress. |

Takes a lot for a young player to get the trust of Lou and Barry. Islanders are due to hit on a drafted forward so hopefully it's Wahlstrom. |

I've watched this a bajillion times and can't figure out how the guy on the right gets dummied. He must have a jaw made of the glass they use for props that just shatters into a bunch of little pieces. - Bean_Dip
He got popped, but it didn't look too hard. Maybe just one of those things where its in the right spot.
We should ask Tony, he's a ninja |

And the Flyers have only only one other loss besides the 4 losses to Bruins. Gonna make for some interesting playoff matchups - rrentz
This world is crazy enough so when the Isles score 7 and beat the Bruins 3 times I get scared. |

It's hard to make out, but it just looks like a straight cross to what is referred to as "the button" or the "on/off switch" for each of them.
That's an illustration of why I have never been able to figure out why they allow these kids (in hockey) to chew on their mouth guards while they hang mostly out of their mouths during play. They are the primary defense against concussions when hit in the jaw. |

Sorry Tony but mouth guards are not the primary defense against concussions.
Copied from a mouth guard manufacturer.
"no matter how well you cover your teeth or head, you cannot defy Newton’s first law of motion. An object in motion stays in motion. The fluid surrounding your brain is not sufficient cushion to prevent damage from a serious impact.
While an athlete is running on the field and suddenly gets tackled, their brain keeps moving until it is stopped the inside of their skull."
Most studies are inconclusive about mouth guards protecting from concussions. It gives athletes a false sense of security about not getting hurt. |

Really, so they put in writing that their product will give you a false sense of security?
Maybe you're right, but I think checking your sources might be in order.
All I know is that the doctors, physio-therapists and chiropractors I've trained with and discussed it with told me that the layer of cushioning between your upper and lower teeth serves to lessen the shock that transfers through the head and causes the brain to bump against the skull. Seems like reasonable science.
The dentists in my area even created a program to produce custom fitting mouth guards free of cost because they offer such important protection. |

They haven't said, that I have found (and I went looking). My guess is one practice is not enough to get him back in, but I'd love to be wrong. |

Dear Rangers player,
During the game tonight against the Bruins, can you please look up before choosing to pass the puck up the middle resulting in a turnover. Also, can you please look up when you HAVE the puck on your stick, so that you may shoot the (frank)ing thing towards the opposing goalie. Furthermore, if you do not want to skate to get the puck, please skate off the ice, exit the building and proceed to skate on pavement to the local division III community college in order to sign up for the JV women's field hockey team. You (frank)ing Nancy ass pieces of poop.
PS: Have a good game! |

Actually they did.
"Believing in this myth is dangerous as it can provide a false sense of protection for athletes. They may be willing to hit another player harder thinking they have the extra protection of the helmet and mouth guard.
As a mouth guard manufacturer, it would be completely unethical of us to claim that our guards prevent concussions. We stand by one mission: Keeping👏 Our 👏 Players 👏 Safe! No amount of profits are worth an athlete’s safety."
You can Google search Do mouth guards prevent concussions. There are articles that say they do and some that say they dont. Come to your own conclusions. But to say they are the primary defense against concussions is false. |

There is some merit to what they are saying. Even if it is a weird way of going about it. Prevention versus mitigation/reduction in risk are two completely different things. Most companies will put some bent stats to make you feel good. Common sense and accurate advertising should state that this (helmet, mouth guard, or any protective equipment) assists in the reduction or mitigation of said injury, especially in use in conjunction with other equipment.

DQ confirms that Filip Chytil won't play tonight, but said the lineup is "pending" based on other stuff... trying to clarify what that might be. #NYR

PS- I've confirmed that Artemi Panarin is not an option for tonight. We also know no Chytil, no Trouba and no AHL call-up.
That tells you the options are:
1. Same lineup as Wednesday.
2. Either Kakko or Miller comes off the COVID list.
