Well I was on the Zadina train that year. Who I believe was #3 on most lists.
He's not destroying the league either. - Scabeh
Detroit seems to have killed their guys much in the same way NYR, NJD and Buffalo (outside of Eichel) has. |

that's what happens when you draft a guy 2nd overall projected 2nd overall, not projected 12th and pick him at 3rd because he's a center. - Fredobbface
yeah but then we wouldn't have ever gotten the gif |

I wanted Hughes. It's like the one time I've ever been right about the draft. I'm still fine with the Kotkaniemi pick - Takemedrunkimhome

Maybe it gets so bad this year they end up with another top 5 pick |

Even Larkin's production is abysmal. I would take Larkin on my team |

I'm old enough to remember when Yzerman was ripped for drafting him |

The lies about Yzerman are still hilarious. He learned to become a two-way god...bullpoop. He lost points because the eras changed. He never changed. He was always a great scorer, playmaker and overall decent player. He only won because Lidstrom and the super team formed around him as the superstar. |

even if this thing goes completely off the rails, that 7-1-2 start in a short season would probably keep them out of the top 5. |

I don't know, Ottawa looks like they're not as weak as they showed early on and the Habs can't buy a win to save their.... well coach.

I know this conversation about finishing low enough in the standings to get a good pick is completely warranted, but god it's depressing lol

Not a huge fan of his but the point is, he has more value than any single player on the Habs roster or prospect pool - obie
I see him being traded again in a couple years just my thought |

we should be used to it by now. every season is the same with this team. start out on fire for the first month and then crash and burn the rest of the way. |

There's no way Ducharme can afford to keep sending Price when Allen is just better right now.
I remember when Halak took the lead over Rask a few years ago. Rask ended up getting his net back, but Boston went with the guy giving them the best chance to win.
Do the same DD!
