Who at Rockford can replace Strome? Entwhistle is a grinder, Barrett, chalupa haven’t proved anything yet. I don’t see Strome on the team either, but Dach, Kurashev will replace him, not anyone in Rockford.
- LAHawk

Replacement may not be in the organization yet? Between now and after next season there will be many options.

-Blackhawks announce roster moves:

• Collin Delia assigned to AHL’s Rockford IceHogs on conditioning assignment

• Nicolas Beaudin, Reese Johnson and Wyatt Kalynuk sent to Rockford

• Mikael Hakkarainen, Brad Morrison and Matt Tomkins elevated to taxi squad

Hopefully Delia gets a few starts in net, Kalynuk gets in a few games, and Beaudin gets to play his natural left side until if and when deHaan or Zadorov get traded.

Wasn't Coleman a deadline deal too? So shows you my ability to recollect.

Lehner to Vegas worked well for Vegas in the playoffs.

Neither Kane nor Panarin are sharing the spot light. I'm not sure they like each other?

No.

Just no.

You'd lose most casual fans. And no, an injured Kirby Dach, and #8 overall "Bust"-vquist aren't going to sell jerseys and renew season tickets the way #88 does.

Plus, its becoming very clear to the general public that this is no longer Jonathan Toews team, its Patrick Kanes.

Realistically, where would Kane waive to go at the deadline that could also accept a 10.5M cap hit?

Colorado? but he'd have to be gone in the off season, they have their own cap crunch looming with Makar, Mackinnon, their captain...

Buffalo? Yeah, right... the "hometown" narrative will never die though

MAYBE Florida, but highly doubtful, I'm not sure if they'd have the assets, or want to move them.

I could see a Chi/NYR trade coming this off season if NYR loses out on Eichel and Kane wants to go play with Artemi, but thats simply not happening at the deadline.

- Slofire94

No way they trade Kane. He'll still be the best player on the team in four years (off chance Dach might be), and one of the best players in the league.

No chance.

I surmise that the role Strome finds himself in if he is here next season, is third line with the line designed to be a two way line...meaning can produce some offense but is responsible defensively. Obviously Strome is not a good fit there. I would prefer Kurashev on L2 or L3 at center. I do not believe Bowman wants Strome long term on the team. Right now I would expect Dach returns and Toews is a question mark. Soderberg could pop up if Toews is out and Soderburg does not land with the Kraken or elsewhere. Strome might be here if not taken by expansion but he will be desired to be moved perhaps after Bowman brings in a new skill center through trade or draft. Soderberg and Strome both here next season is not desirable but conceivably occurs with the hourglass turned on them. Especially Strome

Strome had nothing to do with the draws last night. They all sucked!
- rpeters01

Are you sure? Just kidding, yes they were bad but they still won. They played such good team defense with good goaltending.

I’ve learned on this site he will no longer be a bust the next time he has a good shift. And conversely if he has another bad shift he’ll continue to be a bust.

Would we rather have Strome or Nick Schmaltz?
- Slofire94

All of the reports that I've seen indicate that Kane has zero interest in waiving his NMC. He's one of the top leaders on this team. Almost half the team is young and hungry. He is still producing a ton of points despite the assumed lack of depth. You are not going to get an equivalent return for him. They are winning (for now), and he just had a kid.

He's not waiving.

The guy he was responding to is a Sabers fan. A dumbass one at that.

When will the State of Illinois allow any fans in the game. Maybe limited capacity for the 2022/2023 season.

He was over 60% last night.

Well, no he wasn't. They had a graphic showing at 61% on the game last night but according to hockey reference, it was 45%

the (frank) they doing at nbsnc?

Although I have to say, my favorite stat from last nights game was:

Boqvist: 1 hit, 1 block

Baby steps.

Boqvist will get there. He is starting to play with some confidence and to me, that was what was missing more than anything.

I agree about Boqvist’s confidence, I mentioned a few days ago that Beaudin and Mitchell played with more confidence but that confidence was getting them, especially Beaudin, into trying risky things they probably shouldn’t. But it’s easier to reign a player in than instill confidence. As you said he’s looking better and looking more confident every game.

One thing that worries me about Boqvist that Mitchell and Beaudin do pretty well and that’s rolling off hits. Mitchell and Beaudin both seem to be able to avoid taking the full hit while in most cases completing the play. Boqvist on the other hand has taken some huge hits.
