A couple things to keep in mind with Nolan Patrick

He comes out of the same draft as Morgan Frost and Patrick was instantly tossed into the NHL at 18. I don’t think anyone should have a higher expectation of Frost over Patrick, as both work through their growing pains.

Also, I think what hurts Patrick is what he’s playing with. Unpopular opinion. We don’t have top ten players to push Patrick at the moment. Travis Konency is a nice young winger but he’s not Mitch Marner, who might help elevate Patrick’s game. G and Jake are far from what they were five years ago.

Agreed plus the fact that they are rushing him. He really should have developed in the AHL, got his confidence and when he would arrive in Philly he would be more of a man instead of a kid trying to tackle too much at once.

Originally yes, but this year is what I meant. Several junior players that normally would be in junior are in the ahl, Zegras, Krebs, Tomasino, etc
Covid has screwed up the development of hockey in general. These players are all under agers and since their was no whl etc they have either been put on taxi squads or sent to the ahl.

That is correct but I am referring to this year, coming back after a year off. I realize he looked great in camp and had a nice start. He will be okay just might take some time.

Leafs Arizona Anaheim Columbus are horrible IMO.

Avalanche kings and minny are fantastic. Ours aren’t too bad.
