Has he just stopped trying? I thought he might try and show what is his worth as C on the 3rd line.
His game is all power and no smarts. He is just not good enough for the top 6. - DuranDuran
Man he’s just following the lead of others.
Fire Treliving before he fuks this team up even more. He’s had 7 years and has made past the first round once.
This team needs a heart transplant, someone call the doctor and I don’t mean Ryan. |

To who though? Unless its a deadline deal and the 2 week quarantine is done by then, who would actually do a deal? Lets face it there are very few guys, particularly now, that have real trade value during THIS season, given all the covid horsepoop and the way they have played!
We are going to be stuck with what you see. So either the team, meaning the players finds a way to give two poops about playing consistent hockey and working their asses off each and every night, or we win 10 more games and get a higher draft spot in what is generally considered a 'meh' draft year.
Ward will not get fired despite the play of this team. Off season change, particularly if they don't make the playoffs. But it'll be Ward and most of the front office, including Treliving. |

I know no ones taking Gio and that contract. We can only hope Seattle takes him. These players have proven they don’t give a sh!t. Another year of disappointment, to think I was an original season ticket holder for the first 5 years til I moved back to BC. Sucker for punishment.
On another note, why Cranbrook? My brother lives in Fernie, but is it a resort town?

Cranbrook is the business hub of the East Kootenays. You have Kimberly close enough but their hill blows. Lots of back country access. Nothing wrong with Cranbrook.

O thing wrong with Cranbrook. Just curious as most Albertans look at Fernie or Invermere if it’s a vacation place.
No offence intended. |

Non taken. Was thinking maybe you had never been in that neck of the woods. Its cheaper than both those places you mentioned so that might be a reason some people head that much farhter.
I am guessing with the collapse of the oil sector that many Albertans that had vacation cabins in BC are either selling or trying to become permanent residents. |

Treliving on Sportsnet:
"You’ve got a find a ‘B’ game.”
And they’ve got to do it by way of an improved work ethic that has been the root of the team’s problems.
“Whatever the narrative is, we’ve got to be more detailed and much more consistent,” said Treliving, whose club gets a chance on Thursday to bounce back from a 5-1 blowout against an Ottawa club that has a winning record against just one team: Calgary.
“Whether it be work ethic, being responsible, playing hard -- you can’t do that in flashes.
“Can we work harder? Yes we can. Can we stop turning pucks over? Absolutely. Can we be a more consistent team? You bet. I know everybody wants to talk about identity, but you don’t just say, ‘here’s what we are.’ To me, what your identity is, is what you become every day. The identity we have now is not where we want it to be.”
So what is it Treliving envisions his team’s identity could be given his personnel?
“I want to be hard to play against, hard-working, physical, tight-checking and have the skill and the ability to generate offence,” said Treliving, whose club should get a boost from having Jacob Markstrom and Derek Ryan back in the lineup Thursday.
“Have we played to that identity? No. At points, yes.”
I think our A game is our B game.

We have a place at Wasa, about 20 min from Cranbrook.
Cranbrook is a dying town, they just haven't figured that out yet. I like Fernie but its overpriced near the hill and the town itsely looks like every other in the Kootenay's, old but trying hard to show progression. |

Blah, blah, blah!
What it really means “ they better pick it up, or I’m going to be GM of a Boston Pizza!”
Smoke and mirrors people, smoke and mirrors.
I’d be happier if he’d of come out and said, this team and coaching staff better get their sh!t together or we’ll all be looking for new homes”

The wife and I are actually looking at starting a business in Kimberly. Well looking into the possibility anyways. Honestly, there are not a lot of our Alberta neighbors that left.
The nice thing about the Kootenay's is price. Ya its not Okanagan weather but its good in the summer, 3 1/2 hours from Calgary and an easy drive through the Crowsnest.
We avoided the Invermere/Windermere area like the plague though waaaaaaay too busy and the Transcanada blows in the summer! |

A friend had a coffee chop there for years. She said the town was pretty separated between the old school Kimberites and the new additions. The old school residents would never really listen to anyone new or any with new ideas. But that is typical BC.
They have a accordion festival there every summer that I just happened upon when I was a young tree planter. Got way to drunk and became the center of attention. The RCMP politely came and asked me to leave. For a long time after I felt shame.....now I look back with pride! Those were the good old days!

This statement by Treliving doesn't give me any confidence at all... well here's to hoping that Marky brings his A-game while the rest of the team brings the B game... honestly speaking if the rest of the team brings their B game, it'll be an improvement over what they have been showing.
