The leafs have been a very good team for quite a awhile, what new info are we talking about? - burn
Best record in the league.
They look better this year, period. They have played well and people are adjusting their expectations.

They are a different team defensively.
This is the best defensive Leafs team I have seen since...ever?
At least since the Burns era. |

We really should be giving Keefe some credit. I think having a full training camp where he said defensive play was going to be a priority is not a coincidence.
Oh, and the D-corps is way less sucky |

The additions of Brodie and Bogosian have paid off it would seem. Really gave them some depth and experience. |

I listened to an interview like a month ago from eichel. He said that he was talking with a couple of his friends from the leafs and they were absolutely bag skated to start training camp. He said that the sabres had a different approach to their training camp.
I wonder if there is any correlation in the standings to this..... |

Two of the best defensive games of the year by the leafs.
Marner was the best player on the ice last game |

Nobody talks about Keefe but the word was Leafs could only do well winning 6-5 games. It’s true that Dubas did a really good job getting him the right pieces but he has them playing really good hockey. |

I honestly doubt it.

Edmonton was without their best scorer.
The Oilers’ goalie last night started the season as #4 on their depth chart.
The Oilers’ best defenceman is still adjusting to a full facemask.
The power forward the Oilers signed for the powerplay is out with a broken wrist. |

Looked at the standings this morning. The North Sucks narrative is starting to have some holes with the fact that every division has threeish punching bags. |

Luckily, I found something about last night’s game to get irrationally pissy about:
They gave Woll #60 to wear.
What a huge show of disrespect. |

Yeah I noticed that too.
Every division is similar. Apparently though only the leafs have it easy.
Also the senators dont look too easy anymore. Ask the flames lol |

Florida and Chicago are holding playoff spots right now, but that’s just a sign of healthy competition. |
