I read that it's more discipline-related than performance-related. Apparently he took a real, real long shift up a goal at the end of the game and Vegas tied it up with the extra man on...so they benched him. Seems a little odd that they'd do that to a guy like Parise.

I was intrigued by the trade too. I didn't love having to send Bellows along with Ladd or Parise's contract though. Bellows really doesn't move the needle much for me anymore but still not sure that was the kind of deal I'd like to see him moved in.

Yea they don't have a ton of trade chips but he is one and doesn't seem to have a spot on the Island

Not much, I have to imagine. His 20-30 games of scoring a bunch of goals in the AHL last year probably isn't going to carry much weight in a trade. He's a middle-of-the-road prospect with a PED suspension who's slowly falling out of favor with the club that drafted him.

If we're being objective...we wouldn't give much up for him if the shoe was on the other foot.

I think he's gonna start getting more time than he's seen soon, if not starting tonight. 6 out of the next 7 are against either Buffalo or NJD, including two sets of back-to-backs, so he's definitely going to play 2 of the next 7.

Love varlys game but I want to see sorokin play more as well

I think three is the most he'll play. Regardless of play, Varly is still the number 1 and I'd be surprised to see Sorokin get more than half of the starts in the next 7. Still, we have two goalies playing real well right now and that's going to equal success for this team.

Varly is still the starter and he's been great so I don't have a problem with him playing. I just like watching sorokin as he's gotten better with each start and his ceiling is extremely high. Also Lou made the right call with varly as he's been better than lehner

I think Sorokin has earned a 50-50 split of games going forward...........unless and until one of them starts playing significantly better than the other.

I would like to see them split games also. If Sorokin isn’t keeping up then adjust. The kid needs to play and we need to see what we have in him.
