That's why I maintain Francesco Aquilini is as much of a problem as Jim Benning and why I doubt they'll be able to attract an experienced General Manager / President to lead the team.

The point I would counter with is that FA has been consistent with his moves: win now.
That wasn't what the team needed 7 years ago but could work better now. Perhaps he was turned down 7years ago because veteran GMs saw no way to win now with a hands on owner. With some pieces set, the path is easier and success will keep the meddling owner away. We can only hope.
