They will probably try to change their comments but the idiots exact words was he is going to be a generational player like the next Ovechkin.
As much fun as it is to talk to all you fine people I have other things to do so enjoy your evenings. - VANTEL
Cool. Just post a link to that comment for all of the people here so we know exactly what you're talking about.
It's much cleaner than your speculation. |

Well in the 2 Rangers games I have watched, his comparable would be Sven Baertschi. - Reubenkincade
He’s 18 years old
Edit: Not to compare him to Joe Thornton, center vs winger, but Joe had 7 points his first year, he ended up with 1500 points. Henrik Sedin had 29 points his first year, 1000 points, give him some time....kids a great player. |

When I think Ovechkin I think generational goal scorer, that doesn’t fit Alexis Lafreniere‘s game, I don’t see the similarities. There’s many dominant wingers, personally I’d pick someone else to compare him to. - Pacificgem
OK, I'll go with Jagr.
Point made. |

No excuses
And he is 19.
Ya, I agree with your edit. The Rangers are a bit of a poop show as well.
I still get a kick out of the guys who kept saying how the Rangers were rebuilding the right way. |

Wow. He's a 19 year old kid that went without hockey for awhile due to a global shutdown.
Most players if not all struggle to make the jump to the brutality of an NHL schedule on any given year. This year the schedule is compressed. This actually really makes me laugh. |

Yes he turned 19 a few months ago. Semantics, he’s a rookie teenager in the toughest league in the world. |

Thingy excluded, I bet you the Rangers get back to playoff hockey before the Canucks do... |

My bad. I'm just happy we played in the bubble and didn't have the opportunity to draft him. |

The Rangers utilized the draft the right way. Trading declining assets for future hope. That’s something I agree with and wholeheartedly endorse.
The results of their past three drafts won’t be seen for another few, possibly five, years but their asset management has been excellent in terms of gathering draft picks. |

My wife and I are on a cleanse, I’m not in a mood for figuring out what people mean...right now everything is black or white. |

For decades my brothers and I have discussed why the Canucks never do this. Back then, I believe we talked about guys like Thomas Gradin, Lars Lindgren and maybe Ivan Boldirev |

There is no way that EVERYTHING is black or white if you’re on a cleanse. |

At least we're still 1 point better in the standings, I don't care if they have 7 games in hand. We beat the Blues!! |

This market can not accept that they don’t have a team capable of winning the cup if you just keep it together.
It took an A-hole like Keenan to finally hit the reset button. |

I had a friend who actually cried when they traded Sandstrom for Maclean and Adam's, it was pathetic. |

Yeah instead their history is full of them trading for other teams declining assets. |

Pat Quinn did it, he made some great trades back in the day. Nonis actually acquired Luongo with a declining asset in Bertuzzi, however, these are isolated occurrences. |
