I mean, I know that nutrition & recovery programs greatly ease the physical load on a player, but you just hit the nail on the head: Confidence = mental. He’s gotta get his head clear just like he lets his body recover. Being gutted game after game like this is gonna wear him out. Heck, it’s gotta wear down ALL of the guys. Especially when you are getting the toughest assignments every game. Even when the team squeaks out a win you are drowning all game. Just brutal for him.

Still, saw some positives, just not able to seal the deal. Ras looked ok, physical. Svech was jazzed, you could tell watching him that he was amped to play against his brother. Was good to see that finally happen. He’s definitely improved as a player. Bodes well for him.

Mick just had a really good analysis of Mantha. It shows exactly how much Mantha’s pushing to make things happen. Too much so, not taking the time to settle the play down and make smart moves with the puck. He’s just pushing too hard and missing the overall view of the situation on the ice. Sad.

Currently I think he is the most talented forward on the team you just don't get the results because I don't know if he checks the effort box enough.
