There was no point talking about the cap because the Canucks are always going to be compliant and it angers some of our older posters. We don't need someone having a stroke in here. |

Stoner 1: There is no cap issue or so I am told.
Stoner 2: We're compliant
Stoner 1: Time to head to the woodshed
Stoner 2: I buy cheap gummy bears.
Stoner 1 : How much
Stoner 2: Real cheap man like 6 dollars each:
Stoner 1 : Man you are good with money . You should be the GM . What were we talking about again?

There is some speculation that Sutter was already in quarantine, as per nhl protocol, so this move may have already been planned, if that is the case. - Reubenkincade
The Flames snowflakes are going to melt!
Guys like Bennett, Tkachuk, Ritchie, maybe old man Looch will flourish under Sutter. |

Why because I am not one of the butt buddies?
That was gold yesterday to us outside observers watching the stoners talking. It really was like an episode of Beavis and Butthead.

Was it you that mentioned White Rhino last year or the year before?
I tried some a few weeks ago. Amazing!! Ordered seeds last week along with Green Crack. Next up is Strawberry Deisel and Trainwreck. |

Missed the game last night, just checked out the highlights. Man if this team has any hope of righting the ship it almost entirely rests on Demko |

They played a good defensive game last night. When I checked with two minutes left in the game they only gave up 13 shots in the last two periods. It was a good team effort last night.

It is not only those particular players that might not be able to handle a strict coach, I wonder about the fanbase being able to handle it.
I bring up some points on certain players, because of poor defensive play and usually get ridiculed for it, because some of the fanbase want/like the offensive part of the game, the defensive part, not sure the fans like that so much, unless it is a chance to criticize one of the non-shiny players. - Reubenkincade
I’m all for criticizing anyone and everyone, but... I will help you with one distinction. When a particular player is brought in to accomplish a particular task and they end up being terrible at that thing they are supposed to be good at, then the criticism falls harder on them.
The fan base is unified on hating Lui because he was a 30g scorer who might not have 30 in five seasons, let alone one.
Hughes has never been “good at defending”, so my expectations of his defensive prowess are relatively low. But you can’t argue that his offensive instincts are excellent, as he leads the league in scoring from the back end. |

No, nothing to do with butt buddies, more to do with you lashing out.
Here’s an analogy... a dog’s owner beats him with a broom. That dog gets adopted by another owner who treats that dog really well but anytime the new owner grabs a broom the dog lashes out even though there is no threat.
For years, way before the “gang”, you’ve had clashes with others. So much so that Vantel Free Zones were created multiple times. Unprecedented.
Nobody is attacking you now, I’ve never said anything to you, but yet you lash out like the dog in my analogy. You’ve even tucked tail and ran only to come back when hungry. You sir are that beaten dog. |

Who cares... He will eventually find his stride and everything fall into place. The thing with Hughes is he such a student of the game. He will find his way and I have no doubt he will be a future Norris winner. Also, that is why you draft or find a DD to compliment a player like Hughes. He is the exactly what this franchise has been looking for in a QB D for years. |

It's fine to criticize players but it's the crucifying that gets me. Expectations in here are completely unrealistic, so when they're not met, the knee jerk, grass is greener crowd start marching with pitch forks. Quinn, for example, is 21!! He's already one of the most offensively gifted Dmen in the league - does he have to work on his defence? YES of course. Should he be traded? FAWK NO. Patience. |

lol exactly. Which is why the Hughes for Dahlin thing is asinine. In time he will get his defensive game in order. |

Exactly. He’s better at defending than Hutton ever was, and these guys all loved him. Hughes leads the league and finishes runner up in calder all before 20 and it’s like he’s a problem. |
