But the argument could be made that D is a better D than H, so it’s not like we’re talking Hall for Larson. Anyway, it is what it is, just need to power through, 3 years away from being 3 years away and all that. - 1970vintage
Some of the Buffalo games I have seen Dahlin just blends in. Hughes always stands out. Not always for the good but he is noticeable for most games.

I wonder if JB is looking at Eichel. I know it’s a bit far-fetched, but a lot of great teams have two top centers. Probably would cost enough tomake a lot on here complain for years, but petey, hughes, Eichel, Boeser on the powerplay is pretty crazy. Would also basically make us team USA. |

I think he’s just going to take a few. Hedman took a while, worth the wait. |

Montour for Virtanen. Sign and trade for Montour. Might have to be Virtanen plus but not much, Montour isnt wxactly having his best year. Seems like a good fit though. |

I might believe that, but something is sour in Buffalo. They are sellers and the kid wont wait around forever. No one would have thought Thornton would get dealt. I agree it isn’t likely, but it’s definitely possible. |

I'd like to see Jake play with Horvat/Pearson for the rest of the year.
For 3 reasons/benefits
1.It would give that line consistency
2. We'd finally have a large enough/consistent sample size to properly judge him (without excuses)
3. if he continues to play the way he has (the last 3 games -which have been his best by far all season) he'd have actual value to sell at the TDL or during the off season. |

How do some of the kids look on the Comets this year. I see some proposals on here for home run trades and I don't think they are going to happen.
I can see Pods replacing Loui .
Is there someone on the Comets to replace Roussel? Lockwood Gadj Lind?
Another thing I wonder about is Edler? Solid guy also but Juolevi looks ready for a full time job . What about Rathbone? Does he look like NHL or still needs a lot more time.
I seen some highlights of Woo and he is impressing me also.
I also hear Fotch is a guy Faber says you need to keep your head up when he is on the ice.
I see the Canucks replacing old contracts more than I see them looking to buy new ones.

That might be true but JV has had a lot of opportunity and frankly we could really use montour. As long as he re-signs, he’s 26 and can play both sides and had some very promising years in anahiem as a defensive guy. |

I agree.
I don't think Jake has ever played more than 2 games in a row on Bo's line
Run with him on that line and see what happens. |

Good news for fans of bottom six speed as injured forwards Tyler Motte and Justin Bailey are on the ice ahead of #Canucks practice at Rogers Arena on Friday putting in some work. |

Good. Hopefully they have a longer look at Michaelis and look at pulling out others from the lineup.
Ie; Roussel etc. |

I thought Roussel's game last night was less vomit worthy than most of his games but yeah he is a priority to go next year

The team needs to be doing tryouts for next season, but ya, Roussel hasn't looked to bad the last couple games, but he just isn't quite fast enough.
Motte, Bailey Jayce and Michaelis need to be assessed, Motte only because he may be one of the few guys that other teams may inquire about at the deadline. |

Jim Benning: It's been a trying year for Jake. It's been hard on a lot of our young players in this format. Teams have phoned and inquired about Jake. We want to do the right thing for our organization. We've been patient with Jake. Last night was a glimpe at what he's capable of

Not making a coaching change.

Jim Benning: I don't think there's anything that we're going to do, going to the outside to add a player. We just have to try and figure out how to get better from within. That's the way Travis is attacking this whole thing. |
