Terrible hit and the (frank)ing animal didn’t even get a major. Guy should be suspended for at the very least a while for that hit maybe the season imo. Unbelievable.

You would think that hit will get reviewed and he’ll get suspended if not this league is (frank)ed up. Clearly predatory and targeting the head. There is no defending it.

There should have been at least a game for Ovie. They set a precedent by allowing that.

Wilson's hit was ridiculous. The number of people actually defending it is equally disappointing. He clearly targeted the head there. As a repeat offender, that shoild be 5 games.

Expect The Sabres to come out with a purpose today.

Player safety needs to come down on this guy. Point of contact was the head. How it could argue any other way is ridiculous. The league cannot allow this to continue. Had he hit the body and not the head, Carlo would have still been playing.

I know the Caps are going to argue that there was no penalty call but is clear that it was missed. Do ref's get fined for missing calls like this?

The Islanders should expect every team to come out with a purpose regardless of the stands. The longer the losing streak the more dangerous it becomes.

There was a previous story on Pavelich several months back where his mental state was in question. When the lights go out and the fans go home. They forget these athletes are people too. May he rest in peace.

This is his track record prior to the hit on Carlo. The NHL needs to make a stand here.

Wilson has a history of suspensions, including one for 20 games for an illegal hit to the head of Oskar Sundqvist during the 2018-19 preseason. That was his fourth suspension in 105 games. The suspension was reduced to 14 games on appeal, and Wilson changed his style of checking afterward.
