He should’ve been suspended the season + the playoffs imo. Guy has to be sent a message. Most likely sounds overly harsh to most on here but I look at it in the way that he’s going to permanently injure or kill someone. Guy is reckless and that hit is a prime example of exactly why I think that.

I agree with you Cpt. 7 games is nothing. It will not deter him. Had this been the first or second time and he received 7 games maybe. The NHL will not eliminate head shots or defenseless hits unless they send a strong message. In 2017-2018 he was suspended more than 4 in a 105 game period.

They need to make this almost like the drug/ alcohol policy. 1st time 5 games. 2nd time 20 games. 3rd time your suspend for a year and hearing as to whether or not you can come back. I am all for hitting and physical play. I am not about ending someone's career due to the recklessness of another.

If it were a regular 82 game season he probs gets 20. Percentage wise it’s probs close.

Just my opinion on why it is 7. Odd number really especially after he has received a 20 game ban before. Not saying this decision is right just trying to make sense of it.

The league will just wait until he ends someone's career and leaves them with brain damage before they actually do anything substantial.

7 games is 1/8 of the short season, so it's not entirely insignificant, but it's not enough. He's functionally incapable of changing the way he plays and they're going to have to figure out a way to deal with it adequately otherwise they'll likely end up with a major issue on their hands at some point.

This was a slam dunk for the NHL and they still got it wrong. It's really not a surprise when you look at things like the OT and the SO.

You are better than me keaner. I'm still concerned this offense can get it done against a real good defensive team. It's one thing to be able to score against Buffalo and another thing to be able to score against Hedman and Tampa. Ses runs away.

Isles are top 3 in the league giving up high danger chances so they are doing a pretty good job really.
