Sabres broadcast was extremely complimentary to the isles. Said they are the best playing with a lead and that people think they are boring but they come at you with speed and creativity

sORoK3n was good today, I wouldn’t say great. 2 goals on 18 shots isn’t exactly a “great” GA%. Actually both goalies had a .889 GAA tonight His rebounds were a bit wild tonight. The Isles played tight in front of him. 58 shots last 3 games. Hell, the Isles gave up 58 shots a game when Cappy and Weight were coaching
There’s a reason why every goalie who played with the Usles since Trots was coach has been impressive.

This was obviously a trap game tonight, so good to see this type of performance. Sorokin didn't have to do much. First goal was a sneaky low outside shot that he kicked out and unfortunately went directly out to Hall. I think he'd want that back. Can't fault him with the second one. Tough high shot he stopped and no none tied up the Buffalo forward when it dropped. Overall, not great, not bad. I'd like him to keep seeing action, but that's not Barry's plan.

I thought Dobson was exceptional tonight. That kid is really on his way to becoming not only a top pairing dman in this league, but one of the most reliable players on the Isles team.

I think Varly is Barry’s #1 and rightfully so but he is going to give sOrOk3n playing time as it would be the right thing to do. Can’t rely on 1 goalie. Varly gets injured you need to have sOrOk3n confident enough to carry the team.
He will get games but it will certainly be as a #2 which at this point he is.

Barry was quoted as saying they are purposely not playing Sorokin in back to back games. They take it one game, review, work on things, return. I get the idea. They're taking it slow as he learns to adjust to the NHL and I certainly have all the trust in Korn. Varly has been really good this season, so they've had that luxury. I do believe that Sorokin will eventually be the better goaltender and assume bulk duties, but that likely won't be until next season. Whether he begins to get more of a 40-60 share or even assumes the majority will depend on the both of them

Was a very dominant game by the islanders. 45 shot barrage Martin was a beast today. Have to sweep this set this team is horrible defensively. I was not thrilled with sorokin tonight 2 goals on 18 shots and several goal posts. Looking forward to the weekend

Wow, you see him as better than Varly after 5 games in the NHL, impressive. Hope you are right.
