On that second goal, Provorov slid too far to one side causing Braun to over compensate and end up covering a Caps player on Provorov's side, means Orlof all alone in the slot. Another example of poor coverage in the slot area by the Flyers D, in this case Provorov has to let his man go after he leaves a certain radius from the net.

Other than skating, stickhandling, passing, shooting, and goaltending, this game is reasonably even.

By no means am I blaming Hart, but he also did not come up with the big save at all.

I’ll say this again, and I defy anyone to prove me wrong: This is THE softest Flyers team ever. We have zero toughness, backbone, or anything that remotely makes opposing teams think twice about taking liberties with this group.

If the score holds tonight, the Flyers will lose the last 3 games they have scored the first goal. The first Pittsburgh game, the 3rd Pittsburgh game and tonight.

Maybe instead of talking about adding a player or two for this team we should be talking about trying to get rid of some players and start acquiring draft picks and try get some flexibility in cap space for next year.
