I’d run with Bellows. Both of his goals were goal scorer goals and done very differently - snipe and power move. Any word on Lee’s time frame? - TogaIsles
I'd give Bellows a decent run. Isles are in a position to do it. It's long overdue for the Isles to have good internal options. |

100%. If Lee is out long term then add D and third line depth with any cap we’d gain but I would let Bellows do his thing. |

Just watched his goals wow. The second one was like a Lee power move. Like you said can’t expect him to replace Lee’s points but if he can continue chip in that will really help. - TogaIsles
He's getting a legitimate chance. It's up to him to make the most of it. |

Definitely. Our top six is getting younger. Barzal, Beau, Bellows, and eventually Wahlstrom. Although it took a bit to get going, having a blast watching games this year!! |

Bellows has had trouble finding consistency but hopefully he can show something now. Bellows has the talent and it's up to him to work hard enough not to waste it. I'm Mr. trade but I'd love for the Islanders to be able to count on internal options. Will only help with the Cap and keeping draft picks especially #1's. |

Why ?
What will Hall give us ? I personally never wanted him on out team, and still don't. Hall isn't going to replace Lee
Three are a few weeks for teams to evaluate themselves... - cdn_Isles_fan
I threw Hall out there just because he’s a big name but I would rather Palmieri. |

I agree. And consistency is a challenge for most forwards really. Look at Nelson/Bailey etc. If he can be a threat - which he is anytime he has the puck on his stick - that should open up space for Eberle and also make teams continue to respect that line. Which helps the other lines too. We’ll see. It’s his first game in top line role. Hopefully he can add to it tomorrow. |

It's so huge if Wahlstrom and Bellows can continue to add offense. I know young players can be frustrating but Bellows and Wahlstrom bring a lot of potential upside. I would be as patient as possible with both. |

I meant more being able to call up players from Bridge in injury situations like Lee or if a vet is not cutting it. Wahlstrom and Bellows are shoot first players that can bring a much needed element to this team. |

We have to see how Bellows and Wahlstrom do when the competition goes up but both players have promise if they have their head on right and do the work. Islanders will be so much tougher to defend with a couple of shoot first players. |

Barry (frank)ing Trotz.
That’s what it comes down to. The most important transaction since we acquired Butch. No doubt about it. |

I think pretty much everyone on here would rather we go with Palmeri if we trade for anyone. He’s a better fit for this team. |

Larry talking about Hall and the Isles. I just do not get a good feeling about Hall. - ses111
Originally when Lee went done I was thinking Hall. Than I was asking myself why a player of his caliber has been on four teams? I am more glad too see that Bellows got a chance and was success.
What will Hall cost to get? How does that affect the chemistry?
Palmeri is RW. Can he play the off wing?
If I am making any kind of move that will cost assets it would be for Forsberg. Otherwise I am standing pat.

Unpopular opinion on here but I'm going to trust Lou on this, yes a few of those contracts are killers but this team is good and he's a major reason for it. Depth is the wild card and that's on his deals but what this team has is pretty special |

Don’t think it will be Forsberg as he has another year left on his contract.

I agree with you guys...no to Hall.
Let’s find out exactly how much time Lee is out. The trade deadline is still a while away. The chemistry on this team is undeniable. The talent on paper is good, but with this coaching staff and this roster we’re a great team. I really don’t want to add anyone unless it’s absolutely necessary and if we do, character should be the number one factor. Look at Pageau. He was perfect to add. We need another seemless addition like him, if any at all. |

I had no idea the Isles had so much home grown talent.
I meant it's nice the Isles can call up offensive type players in Wahlstrom and Bellows from Bridge and it's not the typical grinder type player like it's been for a few years. |
