Best we can do is very low 1st
- General Mokus

I'd hate to give up a 1st, even a low one, for a rental.

Crouse shouldn't cost too much.. My guess would be Dermott and a 3rd round pick

I think Dubas is happy with the defence otherwise we’d be seeing a lot more of Lehtonen.

I wonder if Taylor hall could be in play for the leafs.

If the Sabres ate half of his remaining salary, would Kerfoot, Liljegren, lower tiered prospect, and a 2nd rd pick be enough for the Sabres? It would be a major add to the top 6, and open space next year moving out Kerfoot.

As leafs fans we’re probably a bit traumatized by past trades of first round picks. But if you think you’re close enough to contend you have to go for it. The Penguins traded away alot of first rounders but they won.

Where we are in the standings our first round pick isn’t much more than a second rounder.

That's a lot to give up for a guy on an expiring contract.

If you think you are close, and a serious contender, you do everything you can to make the push for it! Leafs have to go all-in the next few years!

It is... but there will be competition for this player, and its a package 5he leafs can afford to make, even if the pick is downgraded a round.

That’s my thinking too. We might never have a group like this again.

Yep. Firsts, seconds, top prospects should all be actively shopped, hardcore. Fortune favours the bold. It's time to go flying off the top turnbuckle.

No, it wouldn’t be enough. A late second, 2 years of Kerfoot at $3.5 and Lili could be beaten by someone else also looking for a major add.

Is it weird that not ONE goalie was mentioned???

I like the idea of adding guys that don't take nights off and play a heavy game for a nice playoff run but what about in the net? Are we comfortable with the current throuple of oft injured or leaky net minders?

Bennett
Crouse
Foligno
Stall
Maroon
etc...fu3k ya, let's go for it this year...who cares about a late 1st round pick or couple of prospects if the Leafs can win it all. This team is really close IMO.

But maybe McIllhenney or someone should be considered too.

Andersen
Campbell
McIll

Would make my butt hole pucker less during the games.

Plus the fact that our current guys seem to be a bit injury prone.

I would like to see a tough winger for Matthews line and another for Tavares line.
keep the 3rd line together as they are built for playoffs.one more tough dman.
Boyd, Spezza, Sabourin on 4th line. Then you could use Simmons with Tavares.

Considering Mike in Buffalo indicated that in this blog he was looking at forwards the Leafs may target, no, not weird.

Kyle Palmieri might be a nice fit
